Nightmare
Max sat in a cage. She couldn't remember how she got there or why.
"Max." Fangs voice said.
"Max" Angel
"Max" Iggy
"Max" Nudge
"Max" Gazzy
"Mommy!" Terra, Max's daughter wailed
BANG! A bullet hurtled in slow motion into Nudge. She collapsed. Blood pooled around her lifeless body.
BANG! Iggy fell to the floor next to Nudge. They would be happy together.
BANG! BANG! Angel and Gazzy got hit at the same time, brother and sister in death together.
"Max, how could you leave us to die?" Fang asked quietly.
BANG! Fang fell to the floor.
Max, unable to hold it any longer, burst in to sobs.
"Mommy!" Terra cried.
BANG! The bullet hit her chest and blood gushed out.
Max fell to the floor. Tears ran down her face. Her body wracked with sobs
.
"Max. Max. Max! Wake UP!" Someone was shaking her.
Max opened her eyes. Onyx eyes full of worry stared back down at her. Fang stood above her.
"Are you okay?" Fang said worriedly.
"Yeah. Just a small nightmare." Max assured him.
Terra bounced into the room and hugged her mom. Fang leaned over and whispered into Max's ear, "You wanna tell me?"
"No, it was a stupid dream." Max replied.
"That's my Max. Always so stubborn." Fang said wrapping his arms around her.
