It was sunny day in Little Winging, Surrey, England, Number 4 Privet Drive looked like any other house along the same street, the same house plan, and immaculate gardens, the residents of Privet Drive were polite to each other for the most part.

The one exception of them were the inhabitants of Number 4 Privet Drive, well three of them were as horrible as they come, Mr Vernon Dursley was a beefy man with very little neck, he had a mustache and light brown hair, in contrast, Mrs Petunia Dursley Nee Evans was described as thin and horse like, she had a long neck useful for peaking over garden fences to spy on the neighbors, they had a son, Dudley Dursley, he took after his father and was slightly overweight for his young age, he was a spoiled child, therefore he took what he had for granted and he terrorised the child in the vacinity.

The last resident was a young girl, her name was Phoenix Elladora Potter, she was the niece of Vernon and Petunia and cousin of Dudley, she'd just turned 10 years old, her parents were Mr James and Mrs Lily Potter Nee Evans, they'd been murdered on October 31, 1981 by an evil wizard while trying to protect their only child, Phoenix was kept in the dark about what happened to her parents, however, Phoenix will soon learn her true heritage and the real tragedy that caused the death of her parents.

Phoenix was home alone, her relatives were out, much to her relief, she'd been ordered to clean the attic, this was normal for her, she'd always done the chores.

While cleaning the attic, she came across a trunk with a name on it, the name was Lilian Evans Potter, Phoenix saw her last name on the trunk and easily came to the conclusion that it must be her mother's trunk, curiousity got the best of her as she opened it, the first thing she saw was a letter addressed to her, she picked it up, it felt different than the paper she was used to, it felt almost parchment like, it was like the writing parchment used in the medieval times.

She began to read;

My dearest Phoenix

By the time you get this your father and I will be dead, if you are placed with Petunia then she must likely would have lied to you about our deaths, by the time you get this your father and I will be murdered by an evil wizard known as Lord Voldemort.

There's a Prophecy, stating that a child born at the end of July, it could either be you, or Neville Longbottom, your godbrother, if James and I are dead then you are the child of the Prophecy, you can not defeat Lord Voldemort on your own, you will need powerful allies.

Phoenix was feeling several emotions at once, Anger because her relatives lied about what happened to her parents, Sadness that it was a reminder that her parents were dead and shock because she had magic, she heard the front door slam, "Freak, where are you?" Vernon shouted, Phoenix quickly and quietly closed the trunk, she gripped the letter and one handle of the trunk.

"Knowledge is Power" Phoenix whispered, she felt a tug at her navel as she disappeared from Number 4 Privet Drive just in time.

She landed with a thud in Evans Grove, she explored a bit before finding her room, she unpacked and went to find the family library, she found the family library, she noted that the library had magical and non magical books, she started reading her Mum's journals which described Hogwarts, the houses of Hogwarts and their specific traits, the subjects, Diagon Alley and the shops there, Phoenix had noticed that her Mum had gone into detail about the hierarchy of wizarding houses and the Wizenagamot, everything a muggleborn or muggle raised witch or wizard would need to know, Phoenix's Mum had even done a section on wandlore, wand cores from all across the world, the woods used and the various lengths of individual wands.

Lily's wand was 11 inches with thunderbird tail feather core, made from Vine wood, a thunderbird tail feather core was powerful, particularly prized by those who have an affinity for Transfiguration, the minute Phoenix held the wand, she felt a warming sensation and a small gust of magic meaning that wand had chosen it's new owner, though Phoenix decided to get her own wand from Ollivanders and use her Mum's wand during the summer.

Phoenix started to teach herself the basics of each subject, she would read ahead in case someone tried to ask her things that first year wouldn't know.

Almost a full year had passed since Phoenix had escaped the Dursleys, it was July 31, her 11th birthday, she found her acceptance letter for Hogwarts, she knew what it said, she only grabbed the train ticket, she'd decided that she'd use her Mum's first year robes , the charm that made it change to the house robes once sorted had been reapplied, she'd use her Mum's equipment which looked as though they'd only just been bought, though Phoenix had decided upon getting her own wand, an Owl and her own books.

She sent a reply to Professor Minerva McGonagall, the Deputy Headmistress, Head of Gryffindor and Transfiguration Mistress stating that she'd be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Phoenix strode over to the fireplace, "Diagon Alley" Phoenix said throwing Floo powder to the ground, she disappeared in a swirl of green flames.

Upon stepping out of a fireplace in Diagon Alley, Phoenix set off to Gringotts, she had her key for her trust Vault, but she decided to enquire about the wills of her parents and an inheritance test.

Phoenix walked into Gringotts after removing the glamour charm, the glamour charm was to hide the cursed scar she got from Lord Voldemort's attack, it had kept her real identity a secret and she wouldn't be recognised, "excuse me Master Teller, I'm Phoenix Potter, Heir of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter, Heir Apparent of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black and Heir of the Most Noble House of Evans, I have come to speak to the Potter and Black account manager" Phoenix said politely to a Goblin.

"Lord Ragnok has been waiting for you" the goblin came back to direct her into the office, Phoenix bowed aat the goblin that had helped her, she walked into the office, "Heir Potter, I'm glad you're here" the aged Goblin said, "My apologies for the long wait, Lord Ragnok, I've been living in the muggle world, I didn't even know that I was a which until I was 10" Phoenix said taking a seat.

"How may I help you?" Lord Ragnok.

"I have come to read the wills of my parents, if there is one, an inheritance test and I'd like to gain emancipation" Phoenix said, she decided to do the emancipation first because it was the easiest to do, after Phoenix had signed the emancipation documents, all Magical Guardians listed no longer had a say in what she did.

The Will was next;

The Last Will and Testament of Lord James Charlus Potter and Lady Lily Rose Potter Nee Evans.

We, the aforementioned, being of sound mind, body, soul and magic, declare that this is our last Will and Testament, thus we declare all previous Wills written to be null and void.

To our dearest friend, Lord Sirius Orion Black III of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black, we leave 60,000 Galleons, not that you need it but it's non-refundable, so you have to take it, we leave the Marauder's notes on various pranks.

To Remus John Lupin, we leave 60,000 Galleons for you, James always financially supported you, and he will continue to do it from beyond the grave, Lily leaves you her muggle books.

To Frank and Alice Longbottom, we leave 50,000 Galleons each and a further 40,000 Galleons to see your son, Neville, through his 7 years at Hogwarts, James leaves his Auror training books for Frank but the should go to Neville and Phoenix when they're old enough.

To Ronald Billius Weasley and his baby sister Ginevra Molly Weasley, you might not remember us, but I feel that with you both being the youngest two of seven children, you'll most likely will be overshadowed by you older siblings, however we have created trust Vaults, 688 and 689, right next to our daughter's trust Vault they have an equal amount of money for you to see you both through you're time at Hogwarts.

And finally to our daughter and Heiress, Phoenix Elladora Potter, we leave everything else, the Ladyship rings, our wands, our trunks, our vaults, The Potter Family Vault, which can be entered upon emancipation.

Albus Dumbledore is not to communicate with our daughter unless it to do with Hogwarts.

Phoenix Potter is not to go to the Dursleys.

Phoenix granted the bequeaths, "i'll do the inheritance test next" Phoenix said, Lord Ragnok nodded and produced a piece of parchment and a dagger, "three drops of blood must touch this parchment" Lord Ragnok said.
