A/N: My first piece of Utena work…and it's a poem. I tried to capture a snippet of how Utena feels about Anthy's situation, though I'm not sure if I did a good job…I just hope it doesn't sound stupid…

I refuse to lose against
Such fools, only seeing
Power and not
The wonderful person you are
How can they look at
Those green eyes and not
See the girl crying out to be seen
Am I the only one who sees her?
All of you, no one
Notices that behind her
Smiles lie tears uncried
A caged bird that desires freedom
Since no one else can see,
I shall be the one to set her free
And roses shall fall from the sky
