What do you fear?

Song inspiration: PITCH BLACK By Tove Lo

Fear /ˈfir/

noun

An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Fear was such an interesting little thing, wasn't it? Always finding its way under your skin. Always pressing down into your lungs. It was around every corner, down every dark shaded path, and infested every wild thing that graced your presence. But this? These aliens that surrounded you? No-these monsters that surrounded you-this was different. A different kind of fear. A fear in which you weren't sure whether they were friend nor foe. A fear where you felt conflicted to put a bullet in their skull. But why were you conflicted? This was survival of the fittest. Every man for himself. You were only doing what you must. But, why were these wild things proving to be so bothersome? Why were these monsters proving to be so conflicting? You didn't know. You didn't understand and you didn't sign up for this. You didn't sign up for the war that consumed them and the death that haunted their every movement. But its too late for that now, isn't it? You're already mixed up in this newfound world and there no turning back or escaping now. And maybe, just maybe...these monster's weren't actually monster's at all. Maybe they were more like you then you thought.

Fear was such a fickle little thing, wasn't it? Always twisting and turning into something greater. And you didn't know why, but you were determined to get to the bottom of it.

Even if it killed you.
