I wrote this 5 years ago. I have no idea why I didn't post it.
This is just a little monologue, written in the voice of Dark Link, inspired by my umpteenth play-through of Ocarina Of Time.

I am a demon born from the shadows of a hero. Protector of the destruction looming in a universe existing behind the sun. I am the hero's heart twisted inside out, the monster that breeds monsters, a fiend that works for the beast that created the turmoil. I am the bubbling in the lava surrounding the castle, the screams in the market occupied by walking corpses that suck the life out of your flesh. I sleep in the glacier frost that passed over the domain. I am the magic in the desert, the creatures burrowing in the sand. I am what lurks in the bottom of the lake. I appear to fight, mirroring the moves of the shadow's keeper. I live in a fortress, awaiting the man, who arrives with the shadow from which I was born, to battle using the skills he gained, the methods he worked for. With darkness I come, with light I disappear. I am the absence of light, the hero of fear, the savior of stillness.
I wield the bane of goodness, I am an accomplice in the princess' demise. I was born in his clothes, sprouting from the dark figure following his body, scanning the world with crimson eyes, feeding off the chaos that exists in this world. I am your fault. I have your power. I have your strength and I will be the original. I will fight you with everything you have, destroy you with your own skills, using your weapons against you. Until I win and you become my shadow and your corpse is fodder for the ground in this dark world.
I am the hero, the keeper of this world, the seeker of power and darkness.
I am Dark Link.
