"Harder, Mako!"
Bolin froze at the groaned words that were issuing from behind the door of his and Mako's shared bedroom.
"Korra, I can't. I don't want to hurt you!"
Bolin's eyes narrowed as his brother's voice, low and panting, joined the conversation.
"Please, Mako," Korra moaned and Bolin wondered if he should flee. He was hardly the innocent flower that his elder brother believed him to be, but Bolin had little stomach for listening to what he was sure was his good friend and his brother getting down and dirty.
"Korra, stop pulling on it! You're just making it worse!"
Bolin's eyes widened as images of this unfortunate scenario floated through his mind. On his shoulder, Pabu whimpered.
"I know, buddy," Bolin whispered to the fire ferret, "I'm emotionally scarred for life too."
"Harder, Mako!" Korra cried suddenly. Then,
"OW, MAKO YOU'RE HURTING ME!"
Bolin tensed. Not only were his brother and the Avatar clearly getting into some pretty kinky lovemaking behind that door, they were in his room. Well, a room that was partially his, anyway. He had half a mind to burst through the door, but he was afraid of what he might find.
"Almost there!" Mako said loudly, and then there was a loud thump shortly followed by Korra groaning loudly and a string of low cursing from Mako.
Bolin couldn't take it anymore. He burst through the door, only to find both Korra and Mako fully clothed. The Avatar was seated on the edge of Mako's bed, while Mako knelt on the floor in front of her. A fur-lined boot was cast off to one side.
"What's going on?" Bolin huffed, "I heard you guys from outside and thought that you were…um…you know…"
Mako narrowed his eyes and rose to his feet, looping an arm around Korra's shoulders.
"You have a dirty mind, little bro. I was helping Korra get her boot off."
The Avatar gave Bolin a guilty smile.
"I wore two pairs of socks today because it was so cold, and I guess my feet have grown a little…"
"I get it, guys," Bolin told the pair. Pabu whined a little on his shoulder and stuck his tongue in Bolin's ear. Korra and Mako left the room together, but as they disappeared down the hall, Bolin distinctly heard Korra say,
"That was a close one. Thank the gods we weren't actually doing anything."
As Bolin cringed, Mako added,
"For once. Let's go find an empty room and change that."
Just a cute little fic to remedy your finale feels. :)
