Shadow Strike

by J. Steven Lakes

Film opens with James Bond in Sydney, Australia. Bond is in Australia to purchase a computer virus from one of Australia's most notorious computer hackers. The British government wants to use this virus to cripple the computer network of Britain's most infamous crime syndicate.

Bond arrives at a shiny new building in the heart of downtown Sydney. Suddenly, machine gun fire rains down on Bond. The glass windows of the new buiding begin to shatter. Bond dives to the ground and pulls out his gun. Bond fires back at his assailants.

Bond notices that a brand-new Dodge Viper has just pulled up to the front of the new buiding. The radio in the Viper is blaring very loudly. The driver of the Viper is blissfully unaware of the machine gun fire that is raining down on Bond and the new building. Bond runs over to the Viper, opens the driver's door, pulls out the driver and drives off in the car.

Suddenly, three black sedans pursue Bond. The Viper quickly accelerates to 90 miles per hour. The sedans keep chase. Suddenly, Bond slams on the brakes and one of the sedans crashes into the back of the Viper. The sedan's engine is crippled. Bond smiles. One down two to go.

The Viper accelerates again. The two remaining sedans continue their pursuit of Bond. The passengers of the two sedans point machine guns out the windows and fire at the Viper. The Viper is soon eat up with bullet holes.

The Viper has now left downtown Sydney and is headed into the country side. Bond floors the car and is quickly going over 100 miles per hour. Suddenly, some kind of farm truck pulls out in front of Bond. With cat-like reflexes, Bond slams on the brakes. The Viper decelerates to less than 30 miles per hour.

Bond swerves the Viper to avoid the truck. The Viper heads off the road, slams into a hill and flies in the air. The Viper lands in a lake. The Viper quickly begins to sink. The lake is 30 feet deep. The Viper slowly sinks to the bottom of the lake. Bond watches as fish swim by the car.

The Viper now rests on the bottom of the lake. The lake water is pouring into the car. The sedans that were following Bond come to a stop at the edge of the lake. The people in the sedans quickly exit their cars and run to the edge of the lake, carrying their machine guns. They randomly fire into the lake hoping to hit Bond.

At the bottom of the lake, Bond tries to open the car door, but the pressure from the outside water makes it impossible to open the door. Bond patiently waits as the car fills up with water. When the car is full with water, Bond opens the door. Bond pulls out his gun and ascends to the surface of the lake. Bond surprises the men waiting for him and shoots all of them.

He then exits the water, gets into one of their sedans and drives back to the new building in downtown Sydney. Bond enters the building and meets with the local hacker , who has the computer virus that Bond seeks. Bond pays the hacker for the computer virus and leaves.

Fade to black. The opening theme song (sung by Pink Floyd) plays as the famous James Bond opening film credits begin to appear on the silver screen.
