It was a dark cold lonely night; it was so silent you could hear a pin drop. The world was mouring the loss of something so special. She shined so bright she could light up any ones world. Kagome made the ultimate sacrifice she gave her life and soul to rid the world of the shikon jewel.
Kagome was badly injured in the final battle with that cursed half breed Naraku. As her last breath past her lips she wished the jewel away, but in return the jewel took her soul and body into it. The gang was so shocked they didn't know what to do. No one could touch the jewel. That was when all eyes landed on the mighty Lord Sesshomaru. He was standing there in deep thought.
"How could this happen?This wasn't suppost to be. No one could can touch the jewel because they are not pure at heart, they want the jewel for there own selfish reasons. But I on the other hand have no want or desire for the cursed thing." Lord Sesshomaru pondered.
And true to his words he calmly walked over to the jewel and picked it up. " I shall keep your priestess safe until we can figure how to free her." Sesshomaru stated.
And like that he disappered from the forest to return to his castle of the west. Sesshomaru knew that taking the shikon jewel would cause him great problems. But he couldn't leave her there. And that thought alone disturbed him to no end.
"Rin is making me to soft" Sesshomaru mutter to him self. But what Sessomaru didn't know was that Kagome could hear and feel every thought of Sesshomaru's because he was now the protector of the jewel. Kagome cursed her luck.
"Great now I'm stuck with this arrgont demon!" Kagome huffed. " How do I always get myself in to stuff like this." Kagome said shacking her head. She prayed that he could figure out how to get her out. She didn't want to be stuck in the jewel for eternity. Sesshomaru finaly returned to his castle and headed to is private vault were he kept his most prized treasures.
When he tried to take the jewel off his neck he couldn't. "Damn I can't get it off" Sesshomaru said glaring at the jewel. "That's because silly you are now the protector of the jewel. The jewel as done this so no other can make a wish on it." Kagome stated.
"Miko how did you get in my head!"Sesshomaru yelled
"It's the jewels doing. I guess so I don't get lonely it gives me access to you so I Have someone to talk to." Kagome said in a matter of a fact voice. She left out the part of that she can read his thoughts and feel his emotions. She didn't want to be locked out. And she knew that he had the power to do it.
"Miko do you know how to get out of the jewel?"
"No I don't, but I wish that I did. I can't stand being stuck in here. I can't see anything. It's like im floating in oblivion. Please Sesshomaru Fine a way to get me out!" Kagome cried out.
She was on the brink of tears. She felt so lost and alone. She didn't know how much of this she could take. Being in the jewel was slowly killing her. She guessed that was what happen to the priestess Midoriko. The jewel slowly drains the life from pure energy.
