Drew's POV
I hummed a song to myself as I trotted along the sidewalk to school. Since it was winter, instead of wearing my usual purple, light and short sleeved jacket I wore a purple winter jacket with a black scarf that matched my usual black long sleeved shirt. After walking for a little while I finally made it to the gates of the school which is where me and my friends meet every day. Accept one was missing. A certain sapphire eyed Pegasus that I may or may not like.
"Guys where's May?" I asked everyone.
"Um, she's sick…" Ash replied.
"What!? Er- I mean what does she have?" I try to recompose myself.
Dawn, Gary and Leaf smirked. Oh no they weren't one of my casual smirks. They were deep, dark, evil looking smirks.
"You seem worried Mr. cool headed." Dawn told me slyly.
"I'll say." Gary agreed.
"Aww he's worried about his little beutifly…" Leaf teased me in a baby like voice.
"What are you referring too?" I asked trying to hold back my blush which a little crept on my face already.
"Oh just the fact that every time you give a rose to May you say it's for her beautifly when in reality it's really for her." "Ergo she's probably your own little beautifly." Misty explained to me. Even Paul chuckled at that.
I was starting to blush, a lot.
"Plus your butterfree is in love with May's beautifly!" Dawn exclaimed excitedly.
"W-what's that got to do with anything!?" I yelled at her nervously. I'm really losing my composure.
"It just makes it more obvious of how much of great couple you guys would be!" Leaf Replied back to me as excited as Dawn.
I shook my head in annoyance and started trotting to a certain blue eyed girl's house.
"Where are you headin'?" Gary called out to me.
"None of your business." I called back to him.
No One's POV
"He's going to May's house, isn't he…" Leaf knowingly asked.
"Yep." Ash replied
And with that Drew's friends trotted into the school.
Meanwhile…..
Drew's POV
I galloped to the Maple residence. 'Oh crap!' I thought. "I totally forgot about May's parents!' But it was to late to turn back now. I was already in front of their house. But it was weird that I didn't see any cars by the garage. I shrugged my shoulders and trotted up to the door. I gave it a knock. Then the door opened to reveal a sickly looking May.
May's POV
I went to open the door. When I did I regretted it. For who stood in front of me was none other than Drew. But he had little bit of shocked look on his face. Speaking looks, look at me! I mean I'm in my pj's which by the way consisted of a dark red tank top and pajama pants that were the same color. The pants had little skitties that had different expressions. As much as I love hang'n in my pj's. Especially when I'm sick. The fact that Drew is here, with me having a bed head and a frizzy tail from laying around doesn't make me feel any better than when I woke up. It's embarrassing! But I have to admit that I do appreciate that he came to check on me… 'Wait!' 'If he's here, than what about school!'
No one's POV
"Hey May I-" Drew was cut off by the said girl.
"Drew what are you doing here!?" "You're supposed to be at school!" May yelled with a concerned but angry look on her face.
"As I was saying, I came here to check on you because I heard you were sick." Drew responded almost a tint of blush appearing.
"But you need to go to school!" May kept yelling at him. But she didn't think she would yell again cause her throat was as dry as it is. She didn't want it to start getting too raspy.
"Relax miss sickly I can miss a day or two." "Besides there isn't a test or anything today." He replied.
May was too tired to argue being sick an' all. So she let him enter.
He trotted in and he hung up his coat with his scarf with telekinesis. He followed the Pegasus to the couch then sat next to her.
"Look a little pale there Maple." He teased smirking
"Ya' don't say!" She exclaimed in duh like tone but coughed a little after words.
"May, you need to stop yelling your dry throat will get worse." He said in a stern tone. No smirking or teasing.
She blushed a little at that. 'He really cares?' She thought.
Drew got up. "Where are you going?" She asked.
"To make you some soup or oat meal depending on if you had breakfast." Drew answered.
"I didn't." "Wait you don't have to, I'll make it." May started to get up but fell back into a coughing fit.
"You're sick." "just relax." He told her while re-wrapping her blanket around her.
He started making the porridge. In a matter of minutes it was done and Drew started walking toward May whilst levitating it to her. Still holding the food in his magic he also set up a tray table for it. Then he sat the bowl on the table. As the Unicorn and Pegasus sat there, Drew started the conversation for once.
"So where are your parents?" "When I saw the garage there were no cars." Drew asked.
"Dad went to a gym leaders meeting." "And mom went to a cooking convention." She answered.
"And your brother?..." Drew then asked.
"He's at a computer camp." May replied.
"Didn't they know you were sick?" He continued with his questioning.
May was about to say enough with the questions but then she saw the concerned look on his face. Though he tried to hide it she could see it in his eyes.
"I told them that it was just a slight cold." "I did think it was just a cold, but it ended up getting worse." She said.
He was about to ask one more question when…
"And before you ask I did not call to tell my parents." "I didn't want to disturb them." May answered before Drew got a chance to ask.
He sighed as May started lifting a spoon of porridge to her mouth. But she sneezed and dropped the spoon on the rug.
"Mom is going to kill me…" Her head sunk.
Drew got up, put the spoon in the sink, and cleaned up the mess.
"Why don't you let me feed you…" He told her.
"No I don't need to be fed by YOU." May said emphasizing the 'you' and blushing pretty hard.
"To bad now open up." He said levitating a clean spoon from the kitchen to her mouth. But May held it shut.
"Here comes the air plane!" Drew teased in a mocking excited voice.
"Screw yo-" She didn't get to finish because the food got shoved into her mouth. She chewed angrily.
"See was that so hard?" He asked in a teasing way all the while smirking.
May glared at him after swallowing. But she did like the oatmeal though. May started relaxing a bit, being fed by someone else wasn't half bad.
Drew's POV
I actually was having a little bit of fun feeding May. Weird I know but she is the girl I have a crush on.
She IS really cute. I fed her the last spoon of porridge. She then stole the levitating bowl from me and licked it clean.
As well as the spoon. She licked the area around mouth with her light pink tongue. But I noticed she missed a little.
"Geez, eat much?" I teased smirking.
She only huffed in annoyance.
"You have a tiny bit of left over porridge on your cheek by the way." I told her still smirking.
"Where?" She kept feeling around her face. Somehow she kept going over it… For God's sake.
"Here" I said as I licked the tip of my fore hoof and wiped the bit of oatmeal off her cheek.
She flushed a nice shade of red. Forget about what I said about May being cute. She's adorable!
"T-thanks." She stuttered then blew her muzzle.
"Do you want to watch some TV?" I asked her blushing from before.
"A movie would be nice!" She said, her voice filled with glee.
May's POV
I blew my muzzle a couple times as Drew picked out some movies out of the family movie closet. The reason I haven't been blowing it so much is because I took some medicine. But I think I'll have to take a bit more a little later. I hate the way it tastes though. I always throw a fit about taking some, so mom almost forces it down my throat. It's supposed to taste like cherries. It doesn't taste like that at all!
"So which one?" Drew asks me. He's levitating random movies, The Zelda and the Growlithe, Delcatties Can't Dance or Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix.
"Harry Potter." I replied.
He put the disc. I started blowing my muzzle quite a bit plus a coughing fit after. Drew galloped over and started patting my back. It reminded me of my dad or mom doing the same thing to me and Techno.
"May I think you need some medicine." Drew told me after he was done patting my back.
"My medicine is in the medicine cabinet. Cherry flavored." I told him but coughed a little afterwards. He then galloped to the said cabinet and got the medicine. He went to get a spoon from the kitchen.
No one's POV
Drew poured the liquid onto the spoon. He tried to give it May the medicine but she turned her head to the side, closing her mouth and her eyes tightly.
A small the vain popped on Drew's head.
"May, you have to take your medicine."
"But it tastes bad!" She almost yelled at him.
"You know it will make you feel better." Drew told her in a annoyed tone. He knew she knew that it would make her feel better. Her taste buds were just protesting. But he had a plan.
"You're looking a little chubby there Maple." He smirked as she puffed up her cheeks in anger.
"I am NOT getting chu-" May tried to retort but got cut off by a spoon forced in her mouth. Drew Used a fore hoof to keep it closed long enough for her to swallow. After swallowing she stuck her tongue out in disgust.
"Now you are allowed to watch the movie." Drew smirked as he went to put the spoon in the sink. She huffed at him.
"Could I at least have a snack during the movie?" "I'm hungry." She asked. Her annoyance lessening.
"Your always hungry. Anyways, you can't." " Your sore throat will worsen." He told her. The last sentence sternly.
Drew's POV
"I on the other hoof, can." I teased her a little. Then I trotted to one of the kitchen cabinets. I opened it up to find it full of chips, crackers and a few boxes of cereal. I'm sure that Mrs. Maple has a huge list of groceries thanks to May. So I grabbed a bag of Cheese flavored Doritos. I'm not that hungry. This is just a another way to tease May.
"I. Hate. You." She said to me huffing and sitting on the couch. I followed suite with the chips. I put a blanket over both of our legs. I might have been imagining things or it might be because she was sick but I thought I saw May's cheeks flush a little. Anyway, she gave me the remote and sneezed into a tissue before the movie started. As we began the movie I don't think we paid attention at that time because I was to busy teasing May with my Doritos. She must have been really hungry because I saw a little drool come from her lips as she stared at the chips slowly entering my mouth. I was still trying to be careful to not get the cheese flavoring on me. That would be embarrassing and I truly believe she would try lick i off me. Though that wouldn't be so bad… 'Stop it Drew!' 'Don't think like that.' 'May is too innocent.' 'Besides she's sick.' I thought to myself. I almost blushed. As another chip was about to enter my mouth she pushed her head in front of mine and to get the cheese flavored snack. She chewed it triumphantly.
"Ha!" "Now share the damn Doritos!" She demanded. I smirked. Enough of food related teasing for one day I guess. After that ordeal, we finally started paying more of our attention on the movie.
No One's POV
The part where Harry Potter kisses that girl with the black mane and tail under the growing mistletoe came. As May 'awwwed' and Drew rolled his eye's at the sappiness. Even Drew had his limits to romance scenes in movies. He was a boy after all. Though, he wouldn't mind seeing May and him kissing like as if someone actually video taped it.
Moving on….
Around the time in the movie where all the students in Harry's training group were being punished by the evil, old, pink wearing mare is where May fell asleep. She ended up falling asleep on Drew's shoulder. He looked down at the sickly girl sleeping on him. He blushed a lot. But then he smiled at her and sighed softly as he heard her snoring. He telekinetically closed the chips they shared. Quietly of course so he didn't wake her up. He put the chips on a table and pressed the off button on the remote to turn off the TV. There was no point in leaving it on since he was going to turn in too. It was ten o' clock pm after all. Drew smiled as he fell asleep next to the sleeping Pegasus on his shoulder. A genuine smile. No smirk to be had.
Saturday morning. The friends of the STILL sleeping duo on the couch came by to check on them. Ash knocked on the door.
"Hey are you guys doing ok!?" Ash called from outside.
"Shut up!" "They might be asleep!" Misty yelled at him.
"Well if they're asleep and the door's locked, what do we do?" Gary asked.
"No need to worry!" Dawn exclaimed. "I have a key to May's house!"
"Why do you have a key to her house?" Paul asked.
"We also have one." Leaf informed as she and Misty pulled out theirs.
The three boys had perplexed looks on their faces.
"We all have one to each other's houses." Misty explained.
The guys all face hoofed.
Then the six entered after when Dawn unlocked the door. It creaked a little.
"Hello?" She asked quietly.
"Isn't this breaking an entering?" Paul asked Dawn smirking. He was flying above her and him being upside down facing her. Dawn blushed at the proximity of their faces.
"S-shut up..!" She whisper yelled at Paul.
"Hey, look at this." Gary called quietly. The others came over to where he was. They all looked over the top velvet couch. Before their eyes lay the sleeping pair. May cuddling into Drew's chest and his arms hugging her tightly, but not too tight obviously. Small snores came from May as she slept. Drew had a smile plastered on his face.
"Awwww…" The girls cooed together and the boys smiled.
Then May started to yawn and stretch her arms. She also stretch out her wings but tickled Drew muzzle in the process which woke him up with Her.
She rubbed her eyes as she spoke, "What are you guys doing here?" May asked sleepily.
"We're here to check on you silly!" "And Drew too!" Leaf exclaimed excitedly.
"Obviously." Drew said, flipping his mane.
"It looks like you're all better." Misty said to May cheerfully.
"It seemed like you guys were really happy sleeping beside one another." Leaf said slyly, smirking. The others smirked too. The unicorn and pegasus blushed hard.
"You were sleeping with me!?" Both of them exclaimed pointing at each other.
"I was sleeping with you!?" They exclaimed at each other once again while pointing to themselves.
"Ok, you guys are making it sound weird." Dawn told them.
The other five smirked. Drew face hoofed while May's wings pomfed. Both of them blushing even more.
"I even took pictures!" Leaf exclaimed pulling out her phone and a camera out of no where. She showed everyone the pictures. May's and Drew's blush worsened. If it could get any worse. May's wings finally came back to their original placement. Closed at her sides. But then the group heard a sneeze. It came from Drew.
"Oh, no." May said.
