Alongside his mother, the small child ran; he was the youngest of four brothers who today would meet somebody who'd change his life forever. "M-mummy...? Will he treat me fairly...?" Asked the child, a faint red dusting on his pale befreckled cheeks. Mum kept silent, stopping her son when they reached the well, with another mother-son duo already there, clothed not drastically different from the original two. Mothers Britannia and Avalon nodded, nudging their sons in hopes they'd greet each-other. Avalon's son waved sheepishly at the other child, who had messy and long hair just like him, but it was blonde and not quite as curly, nor feminine.
Staring at James was the other boy, confused as to the gender of the boy with the curly light-green hair. "Erh... 'E-'Ello..." mumbled the little blonde, cheeks giving off heat and the colour red, "my name is Arthur..." James remained silent, staring at the Anglican he'd have to protect when Britannia falls, who would also be his care-giver if Avalon ever had to keep her blood-line secret.
Silent were their mothers, faintly smiling. "You two will see each-other very often... So get used to the presence of the other now..." called the soft and sweet voice of Avalon. James glanced away, hiding his face in his brown cloak, for he was a bit too shy. Arthur looked away as well, finding the moment awkward until the somewhat rough voice of his mother suggested the boys go and play in the woods.
'Alone... With a girl...?' thought little Arthur, cheeks tinting bright pink. That idea somewhat scared him, since he wasn't such a social child. He looked over to James, the boy he thought was a young female who didn't have the ability to speak, and grabbed his hand. The other turned to face him, fuchsia eyes wide as he was led into the woods. Once there, James pointed out some herbs and such used in rituals his mother took part in, Arthur amazed by his knowledge and voice...
The first meeting of the two boys was the day that they had fallen for each-other.
