Chapter 3: Gem Mine.
The teleporter went off in a very snowy area with high mountains as the the light went off to show the gems and Steven and Connie.
(Steve's POV)
"We're finally here" Steven said in a cheerful voice. "So what's the mission?" Connie said curiously. "We've gotten word that there are still some corrupted gems left in the old gem mines that pink diamond made for bismuths to make weapons and buildings." Pearl said in her voice she had while giving history lessons. "That's terrible" Steven said with a frown on his face. Connie comforted Steven which made him smile. "Come On you two we need to go" said garnet. "Right" said the both of them. So they entered in the gem mine where old mine carts and a huge furnace was. "Wow" Said Both Steven and Connie. Suddenly a Loud boom went off. "This way!" Garnet said in a rushed voice. They ran deeper into the mine to find a very big corrupted gem that is orange with 4 legs and 4 huge arms and hands. "RRAAAHR!" It Said ferociously. Garnet went in first punching the head of it while pearl zapped it with her spear and amethyst tied her whip around it's legs to keep it from escaping. "We need to do something!" Connie said in a rushed voice "right" Steven said. They both ran at it with Connie hitting the legs of it with Roses sword and Steven hit it with spiked shields. After awhile it poofed and Steven bubbled it and sent it off. "Good job team" Garnet said. "Are you alright Connie?" Steven said worried. "Yes, I'm alright, don't look so worried." She said. "Oh.. sorry, I was just you know.." Steven said stuttering. "I get it Steven, I'm your girlfriend so you have to protect me." She said sarcastically. "Haha" Steven laughed at the remark. "Alright guys we need to get to get home." Garnet said. "Actually.. we were planning on visiting Lapis and Paridot" Steven said. "We'll take lion there, we shouldn't be gone to long" Steven reassured Garnet. "Alright" garnet said, "be safe" Pearl said in her protective voice. "See ya later" amethyst said. "We will" Steven says as he gets on lion and helps Connie up. The gems disappeared after the teleporter activated. "So are we going then?" Connie asked. "Yeah, but before, how about a little stroll?" Steven said "Alright" Connie said hugging the back of him. They strolled down for a bit. "What's on your mind?" Connie said curiously. "Nothing" Steven said sounding closed off. "I know something is up" Connie says worried. *sigh* Steven sighed. "It's pink diamond, it's been almost 5 years since I've heard anything about her." Steven said in a sad voice. "So why's it bothering you about it?" Connie said still worried. "Why the gems never told me that my mom shattered someone, one time I accidentally freed one of the original crystal gems, she wasn't corrupted or anything, but she made a weapon that could shatter gems, and I revused to let me or her have it because I thought that's what mom would do, but from stuff I've heard about her, I'm not sure anymore. And they want to hurt the people I love because of her!! He said loudly with tears going down his face. Connie comforted him. " I know I don't know much about this, but in that video you told me about, she sounded like she really cared for you, she probably didn't mean to give you all the mistakes she made to fix. But you're not alone in this." Connie said with tears coming down her face. Steven wipes her eyes. "Thank you Connie, your the best girlfriend ever" he said giving her a kiss. "Alright Lion to The new barn!" So they went off through lions portal. But they didn't know that there was someone was watching. "Rose quartz"
