Nalu Angst Week - Memories

Summary: Lucy thought that she was okay on her own, but her thoughts proved her wrong when she stumbled upon her diary that was blank.

Blank Pages

Lucy Heartfilia allowed a small sigh to escape. She frowned upon the sight of her blank diary. There hasn't been much to write since she hasn't had any fun and exciting adventures.

Ever since the guild disbanded after Tartaros, nothing fun happened. Especially since she was left all alone.

She desperately wanted to see the faces of her comrades. The smiles on their faces, the laughing, and even the fights that happened in the guild hall.
She couldn't forget about them all. They are her family, no matter what.
Well, they were her family. Her precious family.

The blonde woman sighed again when a thought flowed its way through her mind.
Natsu and Happy.

Oh, how she loathed to see them both and hug them so tightly so they couldn't leave again. They had gone on their own journey, without her.
It had hurt her very badly, to the point her mind sometimes went... into places that is shouldn't.

Maybe it was all a lie.
The bright smiles, the hugs, the nicknames, and the love. Maybe it had all been a big, stupid lie.
There were things in life that were too good to be true.
But she couldn't stay mad.

She just wasn't like that.
Natsu needed a break after what he had witnessed during Tartaros. Happy has been his best buddy for years, so that's why he took Happy with him. Lucy just questioned why he didn't take her. They could've helped each other with their grief and losses. Weren't they partners? Best friends are supposed to help each other through rough times. So why wasn't she with Natsu and Happy?

The blonde haired woman brought a hand up to her face, slowly wiping her eyes. Tears had sprung alive.
And just like a landslide, every emotion in her crashed.

The celestial mage wanted to see her best friend. Natsu made such a huge impact on her life. He helped her through everything, saved her, and defended her. The pink haired man stayed by her side all the time. He would always put an arm around her and hug her. His smiles and obnoxious laughs were always contagious.

So where was he when she needed him?
Don't get her wrong. She isn't mad.
She's upset.
Why?

Because she was abandoned by the person she loved and trusted most.
