This is from the POV of the Chi from episode 32. Not the one he left back in his home. Thank you for reading! I appreciate it.
A Letter From Across Time And Space
Dear Fai,
Things have been going well in Chi's country. It's been a few months since you and your friends left. Chi doesn't know where you went, but she hopes it's someplace nice. Chi hopes you come back to visit sometime soon. Chi wishes you had taken Chi with you, but that's okay, I'm not mad. Hey! Chi said I! Chi will try to keep saying "I" because it sounds better.
I think about you alot, even when I'm supposed to be doing hard King work.
Please don't forget Chi, because Chi isn't forgetting you. I'm waiting for you to come back to me. Chi's time as King will only last a year, and then I get to go back to being whoever I was before. Chi is excited to remember her previous life. But I'm glad this time as king happened, because I wouldn't have met you. No matter what I remember after my time as King is up, Chi will never forget her love for you.
Love,
Chi.
Chi sealed the letter. It was one of many that she had written. She wanted to send them, but she didn't have the means, so instead, she kept them, saving them, waiting until the day she could give them to Fai in person. She smiled at it, held it against her heart, and placed it under her bed. One day he would get them. She just knew it.
And she was right.
It was the day her time as king finally came to an end. Her memories were restored to her, and she was smiling already when suddenly, there was a great bright light, and the sounds of screaming, and suddenly, a pile of people were gathered at her feet. Chi looked down in shock, her eyes growing wide as she recognized the pile.
"Fai?" she said in disbelief, holding the letters in her arms tightly to her chest. She'd been clutching them when her meoires were given back to her. The blonde human at the top of the pile looked up at the sound of his name, and when he saw her, he gasped, and jumped up.
"Chi! It's you!"
The black haired man was helping the brown haired boy to his feet. She never had had time to learn their names. At least that was about to change.
She ran over to him, throwing her arms around him, unintentionally letting all her letters fly through the air. She hugged him tightly, and he hugged her back, and when they pulled apart, she said, "Chi missed you Fai!"
He laughed. "I missed you too."
She blushed. But then she remembered her letters, and the blush vanished.
"Ah!" She began to pick them up as fast as she could, and with the help of Fai and his friends, soon had them all gathered.
"What are all these?" Fai asked, and Chi smiled, holding them out.
"They're for you Fai."
He looked at them, stunned. "All of them?"
She nodded, golden hair bouncing. "Yes."
She held her breath as he picked one randomly. Her heart squeezed as he opened it and began to read.
And she cried silent tears of joy when he began to smile.
