All the residents of Anubis flooded in.
A bright and happy Trudy ran squealing in, yelling "Oh, my lovelies! You're back!"
Everyone chorused "Trudy!" She gave them each massive hugs and kisses.
"My beautiful children, all of you!" She gasped, crying happily.
"Aw, how sad was your summer?" Jerome asked her.
She smiled. "I missed my lovely children, shouldn't I cry when I see them? Come here, all of you! I've been baking all week for you all!"
Alfie squeezed her and yelled "Trudy, I love you! You are amaze balls!"
She hugged him. "Go on, my darling. Go on, get food. All of you, my sweethearts."
They all kissed her head as they walked by. Another kid opened the door shyly. He had black hair and grey eyes, wore black and looked like a shadow. Trudy immediately loved him like she'd known him from a baby.
"Oh, hello, darling. Come on inside. Would you like some food? What is your name, sweetheart?" She babbled.
"No thank you, ma'am. My name is Roland Jacob. And you must be Miss Angelic Beauty?" He asked her. Trudy blushed bright pink.
"No, my lovely, plain old Trudy Rehman. Nowhere near as exotic as Miss Angelic Beauty." She giggled.
"Well, you're beautiful. Don't ever deny that." He told her. He was taller than her by a foot. He picked her up gently and kissed her whole face.
"You lovely woman, Miss Trudy." He whispered.
She was stunned silent as he lowered her to the floor and walked out of the hall.
"What just happened?" Trudy murmured silently, in her confusion.
She kept catching Roland's eye across the room and he winked at her. He flirted with her silently, though he showed no interest in the other girls.
He singled her out, treating her sweetly. Victor noticed the silent flirting between the two.
That night, they heard Trudy wailing and screaming. The next day, she was silently sobbing and clutching at her stomach in pain.
Roland knew that Victor had hurt her and he would make him pay. He was going to make sure that this person suffered for hurting the woman he had so instantly adored.
It didn't take him very long. Victor was soon bound and gagged in his cellar cupboard.
Roland watched over Trudy every single day, making sure she was safe. He kept his dark secret behind him so as to protect her. He would use his power on her enemies, to keep her safe.
