Kate Brewster Connor gently rubbed her swollen belly. The baby was active and she enjoyed feeling the baby move within her. Kate lowered herself to a seat and looked at the reports that were before her. However her mind wandered and she continued to rub her belly. Kate never thought that she would marry John Connor. She had a massive crush on him in middle school and after their first kiss it grew greatly. When he disappeared she was heartbroken but slowly she got over him. Or so she thought. When John had crashed into her life years later she was shocked to see him again. The Judgment Day happened and her world was destroyed. She was devastated when her fiancée died and even more so with the death of her father. John had helped her through it all. He had been a friend to her and she grew to depend on him. It didn't surprise her when she realized that she loved him. It had always been there and when Kate realized it she felt whole again. When Kate told him she was nervous. She feared that he would reject her but he simply smiled and repeated the words that she wanted to hear. That day they held a ceremony vowing to care for one another and Kate had felt so loved. She felt privileged to know John and to be his wife. It was with greater nerves when Kate told him she was pregnant. When Kate told him he stared at her in shock and then grinned. He approached with wonder on his face and then held her tightly.
Kate smiled as she remembered. The baby continued to kick and Kate's smile brightened. Even though the future was uncertain and she feared bringing her baby into the world she knew that the baby would be loved and protected.
"Kate?" Kate looked up and saw John standing in the doorway. She got up gently, walked over to him and hugged him. He held her and Kate knew that he had a rough mission. They pulled apart slowly and Kate led him to the bed.
"I was thinking that if the baby is a girl we should name her Sarah," Kate said. John looked at her and Kate could see the emotion in his eyes.
"And if it's a boy we should name him Robert," John replied. Kate smiled at him loving this man that she called her husband.
