Posted this on Tumblr earlier, thought you guys would enjoy it. It's short and cute and a way for me to vent my fiolee emotions. Review please? I wrote this in like 15 minutes so don't judge!

Fionna the human was a strong, brave girl. Always standing up for the innocent and weak, that was just her personality. But today the blonde adventuress was stuck inside, coughing uncontrollably and sneezing until her nose was sore.

She was sick.

A few days ago the girl had gone out with her loyal side kick Cake, when a sudden rainstorm had started just as the two had made it half way through the Cotton Candy Forest. Cake had retreated to the Candy Castle, leaving Fionna out in the freezing rain. And now the teenage girl was stuck in bed, unable to defeat monsters that lurked around Ooo.

"Cake!" Fionna called out, no response. "Cake! I need to tissues!" she whined, still no answer. Fionna sighed and threw her legs over the side of the bed, instantly regretting the action because the room was now spinning. Taking a few wobbly steps foward, she was actual feeling okay. As Fionna reached the ladder leading downstairs, down where tissues and tea awaited her, Fionna stumbled. She fell right through the hole in the floor, and waited for pain of hitting the wood floor below.

"Gotcha!" Marshall shouted proudly, he held her in one arm and a box of tissues in the other. Fionna opened her eyes slowly, relieved to see her best friend had saved her. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug, "Thanks dude! Why are you here anyway?"

"The kitty cat had to go shopping so she called me to babysit you." Marshall floated over to the couch and laid the sick girl down gently, Fionna laughed and grabbed a few tissues from the box, blowing her nose loudly. "Whoa, do you know how unattractive that is?" Marshall smirked, making the blonde blush a very bright red. Her mind was freaking out, realizing his and her face were only an inch apart, yet Marshall kept smiling as he moved in closer.

Fionna pushed Marshall out of the way, shooting up from the couch and running as fast as possible to the nearest bathroom. Marshall lazily floated after her, holding her long hair back as she lost her lunch. He rubbed her back in circles, trying to calm the heaving girl down. Eventually she stopped, and her helped her back upstairs, tucking her in and giving Fionna a kiss on her forehead.

Maybe he didn't get that full out kiss today, but it would happen. Maybe not tomorrow, or even the day after that. But he was going to win her heart, and when the Vampire did, he wouldn't ever let it go.
