"I think we should have nicknames for each other, Al." Al looked up from his book, confused.
"What are you talking about, Nii-san?"
"I'm talking about nicknames. Look, every other couple we've ever seen has some nickname for each other. I think we should, too."
"Nii-san, every other couple we've ever seen has also been straight and not incestuous."
"So? What does that have to do with having nicknames?" Al shrugged.
"It just seems… sappy."
"How about if I called you something not sappy?"
"Oh, alright." Ed smiled.
"You're my… Little Al." Al blushed.
"Can I just call you 'Ed' as my pet name for you?" Ed looked disappointed.
"To me, 'Ed' is really intimate. You know, because I usually call you 'Nii-san'," Al stammered in explanation. Ed smiled and leaned across the couch to kiss Al.
"I love you… Little Al." Al blushed again.
"I love you, too, N…Ed."
A/N: This is just a little one-shot I came up with months ago. (I really need to start putting dates on my stories when I start and finish them.) I was talking with one of my friends about why I chose 'Little Al' as Ed's nickname for his brother. This is the story I came up with in explanation. Please read and review.
