A/N: I randomly came up with this idea the other night… I wasn't planning on doing another one-shot in the same 'verse as "Adventures In Parenting", but then again my mind works in odd ways. So this takes place a few years down the road from AiP; originally, this was going to be a "Audrey gets to spend time with her daddies!" fic…but my brain had other ideas as well. Enjoy!
Audrey Rose Anderson-Hummel was just your average five year old living in New York City, with one big exception: her parents were famous.
Kurt Hummel-Anderson, was a Broadway star-turned-fashion designer, and Blaine Anderson, was a multi-platinum recording artist.
Audrey loved spending time with her daddy (Blaine) and her papa (Kurt) when Blaine wasn't touring or when Kurt wasn't busy working.
"Daddy! Come play with me!" Audrey said excitedly, tugging on Blaine's shirt. "In a minute Princess, Daddy has some work to finish up." "Okay…"
"Princess, you know how Daddy goes on those long business trips and you don't get to see me every day?" "Mhm." Audrey pouted.
"Daddy has to go on another one." "Can I come with you?" "No sweetie, you have to stay home and take care of Papa." Blaine said, giving his little girl a big hug.
"I'm gonna miss you Daddy." "I'm gonna miss you too."
Blaine had already broken the news about his two month long tour of the UK and Europe to Kurt that morning.
"I'm going to miss you so much." "I know, I'm going to miss you more." Blaine said, trying to smile after telling his husband he was leaving in a week for tour.
"But you and Aud can always catch me on Skype!" "Blaine…there's like a six hour time difference between here and there."
"Shit, you're right." Blaine sighed. "I'll be back before you know it. "
"You better not leave me for one of your groupies." Kurt joked, as he always did before Blaine left on a tour. Blaine smiled. "I would never!"
"Audrey and I are going to have a whole lot of fun without you." Kurt said "We're also dropping you off at the airport. No excuses."
"Princess, go give Daddy a biiiiiig hug!" Kurt said, saying goodbyes to Blaine at the gate, and trying not to cry. "I'll never get used to this…" "Bye Daddy! I love you!" Audrey said loudly, hugging Blaine as tight as her arms would let her. "I love you too Princess. You take good care of Papa for me while I'm gone." "I will Daddy, don't worry!"
"Audrey, what do you want to do today?" Kurt asked the five year old, the day after Blaine left for tour.
"hmm…watch The Little Mermaid and make a pillow fort!"
"Okay!" Kurt said. Audrey took all the pillows from around the house and started placing them on the floor. Kurt followed with the blankets and chairs.
"Ready to watch the movie, sweetie?"
