Disclaimer: I do not own 'Harry Potter' the great J.K.R does. I have just borrowed the characters and will return them unharmed.
A/N: This is just something that popped into my head just the other night and I had to write it down. I hope you all enjoy!
Severus held Hermione as they watched the sunset.
"It's beautiful, Sev." Hermione whispered, not wanting ruin the moment.
"Not as beautiful as the very special woman in my arms."
Hermione blushed and rested her head on her husband's shoulder. "You don't mean that."
"I do." Severus lowered his head to hers and brushed their lips. Hermione moaned and held on tight to him. Severus broke the kiss before it got too far and embraced her. "I'm sorry, baby."
"I know. I'd rather have an alive husband that a dead one."
"I know. I promise you, sweetie, as soon as Potter has dealt with the Dark Lord."
"I know." Hermione was silent for a moment or two before she asked, "Do you want a child Severus?"
"Yes. A little girl."
"Really?"
"Yes, really. I'd love for us to have a little girl, with black curly hair and chocolate eyes and that was just as much a bookworm as the two of us."
"I'd like a girl too." Hermione smiled. "What would you call her?"
"Sarah."
"Sarah Snape. I like that."
"I can't wait for this war to be over."
"Me neither."
Severus gasped and clutched his left arm. "I'm sorry, 'Mione."
"Go. Just come back to me in one piece."
"I promise my love." Severus kissed Hermione sweetly, donned his mask and apperated to the Dark Lord's side."
"Please be safe." Hermione breathed to the stars.
The end.
