Disclaimer: I do not own 'Harry Potter' the great J.K.R. does.
A/N: This is just a short drabble that I came up with last night that I thought I'd share with you. Enjoy!
The grounds of Hogwarts were blood red and silent. The final battle had been won, but at the cost of so many lives.
"Hermione!" The shrill cry of Minerva McGonagall rang out across the grounds as she found her love just meters away from the shell of a body that once housed Voldemort.
"Min?" It was a rasping voice that sounded so loud as it broke Minerva's heart.
"Hush, I'm here kitten. I'm here." Minerva knelt on the cold flooded floor and held her lover to her chest.
"I love you tabby."
"Merlin, I love you so much 'Mione. Don't give up on me now. I need you."
"I have no intention of doing so. I still have to carry and raise a child with you."
Both women smiled. "I'm so glad I found you."
"As am I Min. But right now, could you just hold me until we get to a nice warm bed?" Hermione's voice had grown weaker and was now barely audible.
"Rest kitten. I'll stay right here."
"Please, just hold me."
"I'll never let go."
The end...
