E/O Challenge: Shakespearean theme. My muse chose a well-known scene from MacBeth where Lady M.'s guilt haunts her even in her sleep: Out, damned spot! out, I say! One; two: why, then, 'tis time to do 't. Hell is murky! Fie, my lord, fie! a soldier, and afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account? Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?

Out Damn Demon Kiss

Mary Winchester coughed and hiccuped, fighting back tears. Leaning over the sink, she watched as traces of blood swirled down the drain. Fearing the look of shame in her own eyes, she didn't dare to lift her head and look in the mirror.

The bathroom door shook under John's pounding. "Mary, what's wrong? You to open this door right now!"

"In a minute," she stammered. "Just a minute."

Once again she picked up the brillo pad and scrubbed her lips. No matter how she tried, she couldn't rid them of the demon's kiss. And a deadly promise.
