Impure
Another, slightly more realistic Rumbledore as per my one review for my other one. It was meant to be rather ridiculous, that was the point, but the review got me thinking that I wanted to try and here is the result.
Rumbledore.
A/N2: Got another review, telling me it was better but that I needed to make it more realistic, less cheap romantic novel and make the sentences shorter, so here goes.
'We shouldn't be here Tom, you're a student' He said, peering, as he always did, over the top of his glasses.
There was some power in those eyes, some wisdom which attracted me to him. I didn't know if it was just the simple greatness of the knowledge behind them, or the promise of more, but I knew that I wanted to know everything behind them. It was a sort of fascination. I didn't think it was love, that was for fools, I didn't love and I never would, but I felt an intense attraction to this man with the glittering eyes, the promise of knowledge and power.
'This' As you so put it, is simply the blending of two of the greatest minds the world has ever seen. We are both capable of immense power, you know this'
'Ah but Tom, what would you do with all this power, if I were to help you to gain it? I see the lust for it in your eyes, but your soul is still pure and mine is not. I have experience of death, you do not want that' There was sadness in those eyes, ones who had seen too much and done too much ,but still the glitter, the temptation was there.
'How can you know that I do not want this, I have lived through death, my life came from one, I have beaten it down, and pushed it out. I survived with no love, which you preach to be the thing that keeps us alive, so I have beaten death. Would you not help me gain the power to stay that way? This 'purity' you speak of, which could be tarnished by the power, it does not exist, I have never been pure, not from the time I entered the world, branded Tom Marvolo Riddle, son of the woman who succumbed the death, son of the father' He spat 'Who saw me unfit, impure, and so I am'
'Tom you are pure, stay that way, you do not have to do the things I must, feel the things I do, those I shouldn't. You haven't acted as I have'. He referred to many things but with Riddle, he wanted to give in. He knew that Tom wanted not just the magical knowledge, but the impurity that had helped him reach it.
' I want the impurity , with all your wisdom, I want the raw power'
Dumbledore knew it. He knew he shouldn't give it, but he felt the pull as Tom stepped closer.
And he did.
