It was well known in the Potter-Weasley-Lupin extended family that Edward Remus Lupin was very possessive of his AC/DC t-shirt.
The perfectly soft concert tee had been his mother's. Apparently, she'd been a huge fan of the Australian rock band during the late 80s and early 90s. His gran had told him about the time when his mum had Apparated from Hogsmeade during her seventh year to catch an AC/DC concert in Edinburgh. She threatened him within an inch of his life if he emulated the same behavior.
Teddy loved to listen to the songs that his parents had favored: rock bands for his mum, jazz and classical for his dad. He was thrilled to discover a cover of AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' by 2Cellos which perfectly blended their musical interests.
Although he was perfectly happy to share the music with his friends and family members, he was protective of his mum's concert tees that he'd been gifted. He set a weak jelly-legs jinx at James when he'd spilled a pitcher of pumpkin juice on his Tears for Fears shirt. Luckily, Molly Weasley was exceptionally gifted with stain removing charms; James was allowed to walk away mostly unscathed.
From that point on, the family gave Teddy's concert t-shirts a wide berth.
Teddy was busy packing his trunk to return for his seventh and final year at Hogwarts. He proudly laid his Headboy badge on top of a stack of robes. Suddenly, he heard the door open.
"Gran?" he called. Receiving no answer, he asked, "Who's there?"
"It's just me, Teddy."
He rushed to the front door to find Victoire dripping puddles onto the carpet.
"Victoire," he exclaimed. "What are you doing here? Why are you drenched?"
"That's generally what happens when you're out for a walk and the sky opens up," she laughed as she wrung out her long blonde hair. Thunder boomed outside and rain pelted the windows.
He rushed back into his room and grabbed a towel and a dry shirt. "Here," he shoved them into her hands. "Dry yourself off. I'll go put the kettle on."
"Teddy," she gasped, "I can't."
"You mean you're just going to keep dripping?"
"No." She unfurled the shirt—his AC/DC concert tee.
He felt his heart clench and instantly made a decision. "I want you to wear it."
"But it was your mum's."
"And she'd be ashamed of me if I let anyone freeze from wet clothing by hogging a t-shirt. Especially if that someone was you."
Victoire cocked an eyebrow and rested her hand on her hip. "Especially me?" she asked, testily.
He leaned in a gave her a gentle kiss—the first kiss they'd shared, though he'd been thinking of it for years. "Especially you."
She smiled sweetly. He grinned wolfishly and reached for her hand.
"Come on, we'll listen to some music."
"If that's code for kissing, count me in!" She laughed and dragged him down the hall.
