A/N yeah, one shot. I just had a weird idea.

"Hello and welcome to our wedding! Duncan and I met in an elevator…"

I pressed the button on the elevator and waited impatiently for it to come.

I was very busy that day.

The doors finally opened and I stepped in.

Inside was cute little girl, around three years old. She had wavy, caramel coloured hair that was cut in a bob.

She was a stark contrast to the boy of about my age holding her hand.

He was wearing a black t-shirt with a skull on it and had a green faux hawk.

I nodded politely at them and waited for the elevator to open.

After a minute of waiting, I impatiently pressed the open button. The doors didn't budge.

"Princess, I think we're stuck," said a male voice behind me.

"Duncy, she's not a princess!" said a little voice reprovingly.

"I know, Liz," He said patiently.

I could hear him sitting down and pulling the little girl into his lap, with her giggling like mad.

"Well, princess, sit down. We have until they find us to talk. I'm Duncan and this is Liz, my niece," He said.

I turned around and looked at him.

"I'm Courtney, not princess," I said ungraciously.

"Well, sit down. Those heels must be killing you," Duncan yawned.

I hesitated, but then slipped off my stilettos and sat on the floor.

"Better," Duncan nodded approvingly.

I scowled at him, not wanting his approval.

"Duncy, I'm bored!" Liz demanded.

"Well, princess, got anything interesting in your bag of tricks," He nodded towards my large bag.

"Umm, I have chewing gum?" I said to the little girl.

"Yummy," She said, putting her hands out for it.

I put a piece in her hand and she began chewing it.

"Do you know how to blow bubbles, Liz?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"Well, I'll have to teach you how!" I told her how to and she blew a pathetic raspberry.

I laughed.

"Hey, can I have a go?" asked Duncan. I handed him some chewing gum and he had a go, but like Liz, he just blew a pathetic raspberry.

This kept going until we were all rolling around on the floor and crying from laughing so much.

"Can I have your number?" asked Duncan out of the blue.

I was having so much fun, I didn't really register.

"Sure!" I wrote it on his arm.

"Looking back, it seems to me that Liz brought us together. So, thankyou, Liz!" I blew her a kiss.

The little six year old looked up from smearing cake all over her clothes.

"'S all right," She said and went back to smearing cake.

We all laughed.
