That's what Finnick thinks of before the darkness consumes him. He thinks about how Annie had cried, knowing he wouldn't come back. Even though he promised he would. But some promises are too hard to keep.
When all those shadows almost killed your light

The monsters in his head almost destroyed Peeta. Katniss almost walked out, but he had asked her to stay, and she did because he did. Now that's all in the past.

Katniss can't help but think of Prim and Rue every now and then. She couldn't be there for Prim, but she realized that if she would've been, Prim would've suffered. But she didn't. Unlike Rue, who stayed just long enough for Katniss to sing her to sleep. Katniss smiles though when she thinks of these two. That's because she knows they're safe.

Gale use to have to try so hard to keep the memories from coming. He saw everything horrible. But mostly the bombs that killed the children and Prim. Darling little Prim. He use to blame himself because of her death. That was until he met Glydia. She helped him through his troubles. She helped him close those memories behind a door, deep in his mind and heart. Though the one thing he keeps is Katniss's lullaby. She's not here to sing it to him. She's gone. Actually she's only in District 2, but she's with Peeta, and he makes her happy. But that's the only thing of her he has left.

Johanna struggled so hard after the war. She closed herself off to everyone. She drowned her sorrows in the morphling. When Katniss and Peeta heard about her condition, and tried to help her. But they knew she wouldn't be able to fight this by herself. And they knew that there was no one to help her. She wouldn't let anyone help her. So instead they were there to say good-bye to her when she finally closed her eyes. Katniss asked her to say hello to Prim, Rue, Finnick, Cinna, her father and everyone else who she lost whom she cared about. Peeta asked her to say hello to his family and everyone else too. They smile when they think about her though. That's because she's safe with everyone else.
