Hey, hey hey, here's the one-shot of the day! I know, I'm a geek. Enjoy, and this one's for Kana's Mirror, for being an awesome friend :).
--
She couldn't help it,
she
really couldn't.
And before realizing it,
she kissed him.
He pulled away,
surprised.
And started at her,
wondering why she'd done
it.
She smiled sheepishly,
and
said: "Sorry?"
He looked startled,
so she instantly
regretted it.
He turned around,
and
walked away.
He was confused,
but could you blame him?
She stood there,
shocked,
speechless.
Waiting for him to turn around,
but he never did.
What was she thinking?
It'd
ruin their friendship!
And they were such good friends.
Was it
worth it?
She thought he liked her,
but
maybe,
after all these years,
he still didn't.
Should he like her?
Should
he go out with her?
He didn't know what to think,
or what to
do.
She'd liked him since first
grade,
when he shared his crayons with her.
And they were best
friends,
ever since.
Why would they risk it?
Do
friends always kiss?
Why did she kiss him?
And worse, did he
like it?
In third grade,
she'd had
a boyfriend.
Shane had kicked the guy,
when he left her for
Tess.
It was all so confusing,
and he was so shocked.
What should he have done?
Should he
have kissed her back?
Back then,
Caitlyn thought
he liked her.
That is,
until he called her "sister."
He never knew she liked
him!
Sure, they'd flirted a little.
Actually, a lot.
But
did that mean something?
She'd liked him,
as long
as she could remember.
It'd been ten years,
since they met.
Prom was around the
corner,
so should he ask her out?
Were they dating now?
What
was going on?
She decided they had to
talk,
so she went to his house,
boldly knocked on the door,
and
said: "We need to talk."
Oh, crap, she was
there!
What was he supposed to do now?
This time, he didn't
think,
and kissed her.
He was kissing her?
Who did
he think he was?
She pushed him,
and repeated her statement.
"What about?" he
asked,
curious but scared.
She'd pushed him away,
and he
wondered why.
"About what's going on,"
she said.
"Do you like me?"
she asked.
"Yes," he started.
"No."
He paused.
"I don't know,"
he finally answered.
"Well, I like you,"
she
told him.
"Since first grade.
What are you gonna do about
it?"
"Can I kiss you again?"
he asked.
He looked at her,
and admired her beauty.
How
didn't he notice before?
Instead of answering,
she
kissed him back.
Eager, happy,
butterflies filling her
stomach.
Finally everything was right again.

So? What'd you think? Did you love it, like it, hate it? Let me know!
