The Halloween Costume

Sora and Roxas looked over at their big brother, Ventus. The brunette twin piped up, "Hey, Ven? Why does Vanitas always wear the same Halloween costume?"

Ven laughed. He had always wondered why his twin did that, also. He looked at the four-year-olds. "I don't really know. It sure has got boring after all this time, huh?"

Roxas nodded vigorously. "He's always wearing that dark helmet and weird suit."

"It is weird, but he likes it. That's good, seeing as Mom and Dad don't like him much."

Sora wilted. "They don't like him? Maybe that's why they always get Rox and you stuff and don't get me and Van anything."

Ven resisted a sigh. It was true, and he wished his parents would grow up. Which was ironic; he was the fourteen-year-old. They were just being so childish. "Speaking of Van, how about we go find him? He's probably up to a game of hide-and-go-seek." That was the younger twins' favorite game.

They ran away with their blond older brother, giggling.

"Should we wake him up?"

Ven shook his head, looking at his twin, who had fell asleep in his Halloween costume. "He probably needs the sleep."

Roxas sighed and trudged off. "I'mma do my homework now." Sora looked at him, wide-eyed, like he had just said, "I hate chocolate". Both twins practically worshipped chocolate. The day Sora (and Van) willingly did his homework without being forced to by Ventus, was the day the world blew into a bajillion smithereens.

"Do I have to do homework too . 'Cause I don't wanna."

"No, you don't, yet. It's only Saturday."

"Yay!"

They stood in silence for a few seconds, in which Ventus decided to have a moment of mischievousness. "Hey, Sora? Want to improve on Van's costume?" He pulled a white magic marker out of his pocket.

"Trick or treat!"

The people in the doorway took one look at Vanitas and cracked up, dropping some extra candies in his pillowcase. Ventus could practically smell the look of confusion on his twin's face. This process continued the entire night.

"Hey, guys, why was everyone laughing at me?"

They were in their costumes, eating candy (Van had his mask off).

They his brothers were suppressing smiles.

He looked at Roxas in his black coat (which he looked surprisingly adorable and innocent in), Sora's… weird clothes with vampire fangs, bat wings, and a pumpkin mask covering one eye (what was he supposed to be? Van guessed it didn't matter, it looked creepy anyway), and Ventus was dressed as a devil (which was ironic, seeing as he was practically Mr. Perfect).

"… you guys know something, don't you? Don't worry, if you don't tell me, I'll make you." He readied his fingers to tickle Sora. Roxas and Ventus weren't ticklish, but he and Sora were.

Sora's eyes widened.

Van's fingers went for the neck.

"Haha, Van, bwah- stop! I'll- heheh- I'll tell you!" Vanitas stopped, smirking. "Look at your mask."

He glanced over, looking at the funny face and flowers drawn all over his mask. He took a deep breath. "… Who did this?"

Roxas pointed at Ventus and Sora, who had wide eyes. "… It was Ven's idea!"

"It doesn't matter. You're both getting it." Sora and Ventus glanced at each other before taking off like Armageddon was after them.

This was stuck in my head for a while. Glad I got it out, I liked how it ended up!
