Perfect Present
A/N: This came to me when I was listening to Norah Jones. It's not that great and quite shot…please review.
Christmas was approaching fast, Danny and Lindsay had done nothing but work and shop. Of coarse they didn't mind as it was all for the benefit of their one year old; Lucy.
Danny had taken the day off so he could go buy Lindsay's presents and hide them until Christmas eve.
He walked through the apartment door holding what seemed like a million bags. Sitting on the sofa, he pulled out each item from the bags. The first was from H. Samuels, a beautiful necklace with a love heart made of small diamonds. The second gift was from Bloomindales, a midnight blue cocktail dress that he always saw her looking at, but she never bought it. The last item he took from the bag was her favourite perfume from Dior.
He had spent an hour wrapping the gifts perfectly. Now the hard part…finding a place to hide them. Lucy's presents had taken over the apartment, every closet and drawer had a pile of Lucy's presents.
Then he clicked, the 'bits and bobs' closet at the end of the hall. She hardly ever went in their or if she did, it was only to throw a few things in. he opened it, but his jaw almost dropped to the ground. It was packed full!
Danny started to pull out some of the things to make room, he came to some of Lindsay's stuff that her mom had sent up to her last year. Some old photo albums and some of her treasured items. He pulled the big box of stuff out and out dropped a book from it. Putting the box down he picked up the pink book. 'My Perfect wedding' by Lindsay Monroe.
He sat down with it and opened it. 'The engagement' he read the three pages of how she wanted to be proposed to. Not in central park eating a bagel he thought to himself.
Closing the book he turned around and picked up his keys…

Lindsay was glad that she could finally go home and have a relaxing evening as Lucy was with Danny's mom. She entered the apartment building and made her way up to their apartment.
She reached the second floor and she could hear soft music…from their apartment. She frowned and opened the door to be greeted by the soft music; 'Turn me on' by Norah Jones. The surfaces were covered in candles and the floor covered in rose petals.
"Danny…" she called, shutting the door. He walked out from their bedroom and smiled.
"Welcome home honey." he said walking over to her. She raised her eyebrows at the his word choice, he had never called her honey before.
"What's all this about?"
"Dance with me." Danny said holding out his hand. She smiled and took it. They danced until the song ended and the next played. 'Love me tender'
That is when Danny stepped back and kneeled on one knee. Lindsay's eyes filled with tears, she recognised the whole thing from her wedding book. "Danny…"
"Lindsay, You are the love of my life and could not have wished for anybody more perfect than you. I know we are already married but will you marry me again? In front of all of our friends and family." he pulled out a small black box and revealed a diamond encrusted ring with 2 small sapphires.
"Wow Danny, of coarse I will." she said, the tears flowing heavily down her cheeks. "I love you." he slipped the ring on her finger, stood up and kissed her passionately.
"I love you to." he said before taking her hands and danced with her again.
"How did you know?" she asked resting her head on his shoulder.
"I found your perfect wedding scrapbook." he said.
"Who knew…Danny Messer a closet romantic."
A/N: I know it's a short crappy story but review anyway please J
