Middle Earth

A hobbit in a hobbit hole

A fancy hobbit hole with stained glass and narrow doorways

So big yet so small a wizard can barely fit through

Thirteen dwarves come in for dinner and tea

Bilbo is the hobbits name

Not expecting the visitors tonight

They sing of destroying his dishes

And drinking away the night

Bilbo not too sure of what to make of these dwarves

But follows them on a journey to take back gold and treasure

They all must leave at the dawn of morning

For desolation is in the air

The memories of fire and ruin

Are in the back of Thorins' mind

Smaug the guardian of Erebor

Doesn't sleep in the night

For fear that one day the dwarves

Will come back for revenge

The Misty Mountains that stretch afar

Engulf the Lonely Mountain known as the dwarf's legendary home

The burglar, the dwarves, and the wizard must

Escape into Mirkwood

With Mirkwood spiders lingering in the night

Waiting for a meal to walk through the forest doors

You have pale Orcs following you

Watching your every move

Go through Lake-Town and promise gold for all

When you take back your home in the Misty Mountains cold

To find the gem of power named the Arkenstone

A pale stone in the dark mountain but shines rainbows underneath your torchlight

To desolate old dragon Smaug

A greedy talking dragon that is relentless at all costs

To be home once more would be a dream come true

But are you willing to give up your life?
