AN: Quick before note Robert didn't die cuz I loved him and this takes place during and after Queen song, more notes after.

Coriane hurried through the halls clutching Cal to her chest as she glanced behind her. She had known it; all along she had been right. Her own guard betrayed her and Elara had attacked but this time it wasn't in her imagination. Suddenly Melanie appeared but unlike any other day Cori's faithful maid looked worried.
"Lady Cori, we need to turn here." Melanie demanded and after grabbing her arm in a very bold manner dragged Cori into the servants corridors and hallways threw an opening in the wall that she had never noticed before.
"Melanie, what are you doing?" Coriane asked as she was dragged after her red servant. Melanie seemed panicked and in an odd way it soothed Coriane's own nerves to see someone else so flustered.
"We must get to Lord Julian, he is with Lady Iral and The Prince. We must hurry, His Majesty King Tiberias is still at Fort Patriot it is not safe, Lady Cori." Melanie was frantic, heedlessly tugging at her if she felt like Cori had taken a step even slightly slower than possible.
Robert and Julian had left the dinner table deep in discussion and Ara Iral who had been visiting followed them, to call it a night before their respective brothers stayed up threw the night and into the meeting that they were supposed to attend in the morning. The two of them would be lost in books until morning if allowed, and it was hard for Cori to resent Julians friendship when Robert had basically adopted both of them after their father died. Often Robert took Julian under his wing to teach him properly the ins and outs of Lordship when in court.
Melanie seemed to think it was best to get to the safety of known friends and honestly at this time Cori didn't know if anyone else could be trusted. Cori held Cal closer to her and followed her maid.
Thankfully Melanie seamed to know where they were going and in record time they were bursting threw a door in the library making all three inhabits jump and Lady Ara Iral pulled a knife out of thin air. Looking between the invaders a frown appeared on Julian's face as he took a step forward holding a hand out. Before any questions could be asked Melanie spoke up.
"I saw Lady Elara Merandus go into an unused guest room in the royal wing, Lord Arven showed her which one was empty and then I heard Lady Cori scream! If I may be so bold I believe treason is afoot." Melanie declared still clutching Cori's arm as if ready to make off with her again in case those believed friends didn't turn out to be trustworthy.
"I will summon the guards and have them both apprehend The villains. I will have Sentinel Arven go to control the two. I am sure she will be able to control the both of them, she has shown great promise." Lady Iral said already walking towards the door, "You two make yourselves useful and stay with the Queen. All will be righted by the end of the night." With that last reassurance The Panther was on the prowl.
AN: So what do you think? I have a plan but now that my busy season at work is over I am hoping to update this and my star wars story regularly.
