Marco was walking back home when he noticed Star laying on the ground, bleeding and looking badly bruised, while a a monster got ready to strike her dead. However, Marco quickly went to her side and protected her, making the monster stop as he scanned the guy in disbelief. "Star, what happened?" Marco asked.
"It's Ludo, he actually got smart for once!" Star answered as she struggled to get up, "He sent a monster that's immune to any magic, and highly resistant to physical attacks!"
The monster finished scanning Marco and laughed before monologuing:
"That's right, Star Butterfly has fallen to my impressive abilities, and is now nothing more than a pathetic humanoid who can't even protect herself! And if she couldn't do my a thing, there's no way you-!"
Before the monster could finish his monologue, Marco dashed in front of him and punched him in the gut, completely annihilating the monster in the process and creating a small explosion in the process. Once the smoke dispersed, Star watched in both awe and shock as Marco walked out of the explosion like it was nothing and helped the girl get up.
"Come on, let's go home." he said as he walked back to his house.
Star, however, remained frozen in place as she glanced to the destruction left by Marco and to the fleeting guy, who she promptly followed with a sense of gratefulness and worry.
