Here I am searching for Peeta Mellark, my partner in the busy streets of district 12.
There he is walking towards me with a basket of bread, brushing back his curly blond hair as the wind blew. He stares at me with his mesmerizing blue eyes and warms me up with his smile. "Hey, you! Where are you wandering off too? "He asks.
My mouth opens yet I couldn't speak and didn't know what to say, and my hands were sweating
. "I'm going to the woods "I said. I wonder why I said that when all this time I was looking for him
. I walked past him and wondering what the hell was wrong with me.
I'm heading to the woods just like I said I would then I hear footsteps; I turned around and saw Peeta hiding behind the house.
I smile and just kept on walking.
I'm finally near the wire gated entrance to the woods still hearing those footsteps following…
I finally have the courage to tell him "you can come along if you like" I said. He walked his way to me and
said "Well, if you want to be with me so badly, you could've just asked "he said slyly.
I punch his arm lightly for being so arrogant and I look into his eyes with a pout then he smiles at me, holds my hand, and leads the way.
Somehow with him near I feel safe.
Such a peaceful day surrounded by the tall trees with a handsome guy here with me today.
At my side, smiling like there's no tomorrow, and I just couldn't help but smile too.
We are almost in the place where my father used to teach me how to use the archer.
Still walking and yet I have not a word to say to Peeta then he said "can I tell you something? ".
I replied "go ahead". "You know I like you right? That I will always be thinking about no else but you? " he said.
An unexpected attack! What was I supposed to say! I couldn't think right, I started to perspire, I swallowed my saliva and answered "I know.
" Without any reply from him we just kept on walking.
