What If

Ginny Potter sat by the fire of her two bedroom flat in Hogsmeade. She sat there thinking of what life would be like if Voldemort hadn't come back. Harry would be sitting here next to her not off fighting in the Final War but soon it would all be over and they could live in peace. Just then an owl flew through the window carrying a very professional looking letter. She untied it from the owl and it immediately took off. Slowly she opened the envelope and as Ginny started to read she felt her heart drop to the floor.

Dear Ginny Potter,

We are pleased to inform you that the war is over! Voldemort is gone for good!

Although we completely regret to say so, Harry Potter didn't make it. We are not entirely sure of the cause but we believe it had something to do with the fact they are connected by the Avada Kedavra curse which Harry used to kill him. Harry is a great hero among all of us and we greatly appreciate everything he did for the wizarding world. We are putting a statue of him outside of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and in the Ministry itself. He will be sorely missed and we are deeply, truely, sorry for your loss.

Sincerly,

Percy Weasley, newly appointed Minister for Magic

As Ginny started crying hysterically, she heard the pitter patter of little feet. Lilly was up.

"Mamma" said the young girl, "why are you crying?"

"Oh Lilly!" said Ginny as she sat Lilly on her lap and wrapped her arms around the small child, "daddy's gone, daddy died to give us freedom"

The seven year old child could only sit there as it all started to sink in then quite quickly she dissolved into tears in her mothers arms.

(This was a sad story to wright it was like 1 in the mornin when i wrote this but i am coming out with The Chronicles Of Ginny wich is based on my life. Please review and tell me what you think!)
