Shippo was bored out of is tiny little mind. Even seeing Inuyasha sat for the fifth time that day wasn't very funny. In fact, it wasn't funny at all. Every time he slamed into the ground, Kagome would look away, and a lone tear would fall. Soon she would run to her own time, telling Shippo that she was going to get him some can-dee and coloring sticks.

Shippo didn't like to see his mother sad, and Kagome was more depressed than ever. Whenever she left, InuYasha would sit in his tree and wait for her. The poor kitsune felt like he was loosing another father.

Sure, InuYasha wasn't the perfect model for a father, but, he was the closest thing Shippo had. The adoriation on the young kit's face was so lovly to look at if anyone cared to look.

Just then, Sango walked up to Miroku, where shippo was perced on his shoulder, and took the kitsune into her arms. Shippo felt like he really needed the hug, but Sango wasn't the right person to get it from.

This just frustrated the poor kit. When you would have thought nothing would get worse than the slight drissle, InuYasha's swearing and Sango's slaps, it did.

InuYasha tripped over a root.

That just blew the top of all the stress that was building up. He mutilated the tree, shoved Miroku in the mud and yelled at Kagome.

After that he seemed, well, not himself. Hewent up to the tree, and sat on the smoking trunk, and just closed his eyes. He looked exasusted. His sword dropped to the ground, and he didn't seem to care that it was in the mud.

Kagome on the other hand, ran five yards into the forest and started crying. Collapsed on the ground, not even Sango didn't want to go near her.

Miroku was meditating, Sango was grooming Kerara, and shippo was more bored than before. Wet, he climbed up the black tree and sat in InuYasha's lap. Half asleep and sore, he just lay there, watching his adoptive father's face.

It was sad.

Shippo gathered up some curage, and said quietly, "Mommy's sad Daddy."

InuYasha sighed and picked the kit up. HE gently jumped out of the tree and walked over to the silent, yet still sad, Kagome.

Kneeling next to the Miko, InuYasha said, "Mommy, don't be sad, it's not good for anyone."

Shippo ran into her arms, still being held by InuYasha, and engulfed everyone in a huge hug. Kagome placed her nose in the base of InuYasha's neck, and said, "Sorry for being a sour face."

The small family laughed and stood up, ready to move on.

Suddenly, for the first time in days, the sun came out. A beautiful rainbow covered the sky. Shippo took both Kagome's and InuYasha's hands and said peacfully, "Family love breaks all binds."
