Angel, she has always been my baby. The one I paid special attention to; the one I loved best. I told her that too, only in thought form, but still… Its not that I don't care about my other flock members, she's just special

I've always had a need to keep Angel with me, never let her out of my sight; keep her safe even though I know she doesn't need it. I don't want her life to end up the way it is. I never want to see her grow up the way I did, with no parents, always on the run. I want her life to be perfect. I know she will go through things that shouldn't happen to anyone, let alone a six-year-old! But what really disappoints me is that I can't stop it, I can only comfort and try to save and heal her.

She can never be a normal kid who reads about princesses in her favorite books, or has her mom tuck her in at night. She only has the flock.
She can already tell when people are trying to deceive her, because of her skills. Believe me, they come in handy, but I almost resent them, only because she can already see the cruel nature of some people. That's something no kid should ever have to anticipate for themselves.

I know that the things any other kid can do will never be possible for Angel, but somehow I don't want her realization of that to be any time soon or as abrupt as it might really be. Despite that…no matter what…I will always love her.
