After eighty years, I still remember.

It was in the middle of the night when we heard a sudden roar from above. We knew what it meant and I began to sob in fear. I didn't want to die.

My father took me by the hand and we ran outside. A neighbour had a cellar made from stone that would keep us safe. Maybe.

But then…a noise like thunder without lightning or rain, like fury concentrated to noise. A figure stood there, the bow drew back and the man let the arrow fly.

And the dragon fell, like a star.
