Arthur spotted Sety across camp and called his name out. The taller green haired youth smiled waiting for Arthur to approach. Everything about him made Arthur jealous. He had the mighty tome Holsety and everyone looked up to him, even Tinny. That was what made him most jealous. Tinny had been separated from him for years and now that they were finally together she was spending more time with Sety than him.
Arthur finally caught up with him and now that he was standing face to face his face grew hot. He was mad but also embarrassed to admit what he was about to say. His palms were sweaty and his mouth was dry. This would be harder than he had thought.
"Sety…" He paused and let go of the breath he had been holding in anger. He tried to be calm when he spoke again. "I know that Tinny means a lot to you and I just want to make sure we are on the same page. I'm her big brother and I'm supposed to be the one that takes care of her." He paused again to let that sink in but Sety just stood there quietly. He had to be stern. Sety would know he meant business. "Lately she doesn't seem to need me as much because you are always around. I've just got my family back and I feel like I'm losing her to you."
Sety interrupted giving Arthur some relief because he didn't want to cry in front of him. He was getting worked up just talking about it.
"I understand how you feel, but I'm not going to stop. You are right that I care deeply for Tinny. I also want to reassure you that I will protect her no matter what."
Arthur nodded quietly. "I'm glad to hear that. Any other response and I would have been wrong about you. I'm ashamed that Tinny no longer looks to me for help, but I'm happy that your intentions are good. I can trust you to look after her like I've wanted to."
Arthur took a deep breath. He was glad that was over with. He was thankful for the time he had with Tinny, even if they would never be close like other siblings. He would see her next after Sety.
Sety cleared his throat knowing that Arthur was deep in thought. "Ummm. While we're on the subject of sisters, I need to ask you some questions about Fee."
Arthur fell to the floor in comedic fashion. "Doh!"
