Why is the British Ministry of Magic so far behind its counterparts in other magical parts of the world? So far behind Muggle society too, as a matter of fact. In this story, the war has not made British magical society lag so far behind, the purebloods are more accepting of change, and the wizarding hero Harry Potter is better taken care of in his youth than ever before! Yes, this means that instead of being foisted upon his magic-hating Muggle relatives, who by the way would have gotten paid an obscene amount of money to basically abuse him for ten years, Harry will be sent to the British wizarding orphanage, and will grow up with the other orphaned wizarding children. Living in Peverell's Wizarding Orphanage, he will get to know those magical children who also lost their families, and discover what it means to grow up in the wizarding world with adults who care for him and peers who treat him like Harry, their friend and fellow orphan, not as the Boy-Who-Lived. Things will go down a different path as Harry is more confident in his magical abilities, and isn't left alone to deal with problems no eleven-year-old should.
