Chapter 1
Humans, in their lust for power they have evolved themselves to an unreturnable point. The more powerful they got the more bored they become with their surroundings. Causing them to create simulations of a more interesting life.
Not all people were thrilled with the idea though, they became outcasts living in a no longer populated world. Appliances were no longer necessary to people, so the outcasts either died of starvation, or killed themselves out of losing all hope of survival. Don't get me wrong though, some brave souls banded together to survive this new world. And this is the moment where the cliché of surviving in the apocalypse ends.
The world never hit the wasteland that you see in the movies. It became the opposite, with greenery overwhelming the earth. In this new Earth there were two races, well they are human in the sense, but they're immensely different. The one, named Artoriuse is a tall, lengthy, an almost elven looking race. The other one is Alerian, a regular looking human. Except one thing, there skin is extremely pale, almost white.
Now this is where our story starts. With a lonely Artoriuse girl, hunting in the woods for deer. Not all life is hard, if you have the right skills you can survive. The land is mostly forest now so it is easy hunting. The only places where there are no trees are in the cities, with the trapped people oblivious to their surroundings, ruling a fake life. Anyway, now that we got that detail, I can explain the girl's situation a little bit.
Chapter 2
The girl's name was Assra, pronounced As-ruh. Say it again if you don't get it. Anyway, she was born into this world by two outcasts who were not expecting a child. Like most families nowadays, she and her twin sister were abandoned. By chance though an old man, they didn't know his actual name, took care of them and taught them how to survive. By this time, she found herself questioning her gender, now calling herself gender-fluid. Most of the time she is a she, but sometimes she changes and shifts into a boy. Complicated, I know but stick with me.
The old man was a stubborn fool, who didn't really care for the girl, just using her as a way to get free labor.
