"Mr. McLean? Are you sure about th—"
Chris cut the trembling intern off with a dismissive wave, rolling his eyes and taking off his douchebag sunglasses with an unnecessary flourish. "Of course I'm sure, Gregory! This is the best idea I've had yet!" He replied, gesturing to the building in front of them.
"Um, my name's Samantha…"
"Did you say something? Anyway, Rebecca, just get this big, intimidating, wrought iron gate open, would ya? We've gotta start getting this place ready for the contestants! — And by 'we', I mean you." Chris laughed, placing his hands on his hips as he surveyed the large structure in front of him.
"So this is it, huh? It's not something people would expect from the show." Chef commented, carrying a tote full of cooking supplies.
"That's right, Chef! Welcome to Scarcliffe Manor; the most haunted of all the haunted mansions in western Canada! It's the perfect place to step up our game and boost our ratings!" Chris announced, quite pleased with himself for finding the manor.
"Sounds good to me." Chef grunted, shrugging slightly and lumbering off to join the interns. Unlike Chris, he did not mind participating in the grunt work. Not that he had much of a choice.
"Darn right it sounds good." Chris grinned, sweeping his gaze over the centuries old, slightly run-down building. "This is going to be our best season ever! … Chop-chop, interns! We've got a lot of work to do before our victims arrive next week!"
