The rain struck the Zabrak Master's face. He gazed out into the distance of Zonama Sekot. The Jedi temple was nestled in a small clearing in the middle of a lush tropical jungle. Students had just arrived and many were eager to start their training and lessons. But Zargen wanted to give the remaining 5 students the chance to arrive. His constant vigilence was only superceeded by the Honor Guard that protected the grounds. The Yuuzhan Vong proved to be a valuable asset to Zargen and the temple. The last five students showed up just before dinner was to be served. In all Zargen had a Yuuzhan Vong, 2 Cathars, a Rodian, an Ithorian, 2 Nautolans, 2 Humans and a Trandoshan as his students. He was surprised at the diversity of the students. Even better was that he had another Yuuzhan Vong to train, after his wife of course. Zargen's wife came out of the temple,wrapped a rain resistant poncho and her arms around him. "You know you're going to catch a cold if you stay out here much longer." He caressed her hands with his. "I know but what if there's trouble?" She chuckled. "There's always trouble Zargen. Now come in and eat. You need to explain the temple rules and expectations to them as well." Zargen slowly nodded and arose to his feet. After exchanging a loving glace at his wife, he kissed her deeply. After breaking from the kiss," I love you, Nei." were his only words. He walked back into the temple followed by Nei.
The temple cafeteria was a cacophany of laughter and chatter. All fell silent as the Zabrak Master entered the room. "Good Evening to every one of you." Zargen said from the doorway. All eyes were on him and no one dared to move. Many of students had heard stories of what the Zabrak master had achived. Zargen stood in the doorway for several moments looking over his new padawans. After he was finished he spoke "Welcome to the first ever Jedi Temple of Zonama Sekot. Here you will complete your training and become Knights of our order. I am, as I am sure you all know, Master Zargen Jaganneth. And this is my wife Nei Din. Since this is your first night here I would like us all to introduce ourselves. Then I will open up the floor for questions." The students nodded. There were the Cathar twins, Sylvan and Linx. The Nautolan siblings Kat and Nok always seemed to be in a compition with each other. The humans, Xarander and Silvania were lovers as far as Zargen could tell. The Rodian, Wyrak was a loner. The Ithorian, Sala was also a loner but she wasn't afraid to make friends. And finally the Yuuzhan Vong, Shok, Sat quietly in her seat, much like his wife did at the start of her training.
Chapter 2
The halls of the temple were silent, most of the students and staff were eitheir asleep or had shut down for the night.
