And now, a poem!
HanyouHe wakes me with a mighty roar
Like he has done so oft' before
And when I yawn and greet the day
His golden gaze is in my way
Wild hanyou, hanyou wild with amber eyes and hair of white
Wild hanyou, hanyou wild I long for you with all my might
His magic sword can scorch the air
So when you tease him, do beware
It seems this hanyou never dies
When hurt, his yokai does arise
Wild hanyou, hanyou wild with amber eyes and hair of white
Wild hanyou, hanyou wild I long for you with all my might
His actions sometimes brings me grief
But he's the best in my belief
So still I go to where he leads
To see to all his wants and needs
Wild hanyou, hanyou wild with amber eyes and hair of white
Wild hanyou, hanyou wild I long for you with all my might
If you can't figure out who's supposed to be the "I" in the story, then... uhh... you'll never know.
Based on "Sunrise" by Cheryl J.Dunaway. I do not own the rights to her work, nor will I ever claim them. Here's her poem, written for a fanfiction about Legolas from LoTR.
SunriseShe wakes me with the warmest kiss,
Her dawning brings the morning bliss,
And when I rise to greet the day,
Her brilliant face shall light my way.
Fair lady, lady fair with amber eyes and golden hair.
Fair lady, lady fair your beauty shines beyond compare.
Her fiery heat can schorch the air,
So mark ye well and do beware,
Her flaming passion never dies
It merely sleeps in midnight skies.
Fair lady, lady fair with amber eyes and golden hair.
Fair lady, lady fair your beauty shines beyond compare.
Her light brings life, so bitter-sweet,
It's sparks of joy and times of grief,
But still we look towards to East
Where from night's grip she is released.
Fair lady, lady fair with amber eyes and golden hair.
Fair lady, lady fair your beauty shines beyond compare.
