A/N: This is probably my worst story ever but it was either this or studying for my exam.

Disclaimer: Everything except the plot belongs to Queen Rowling.

"I hate him. I hate that son of a..."

"What did father do now mother?" Draco Malfoy was lounging in the family room, his back lying on the floor with his feet resting on the settee.

"How dare he?" Draco's mother, Narcissa, was fuming, walking around the room trying her best not to throw the glassware around. "Sit up straight young man! If Astoria saw you now there would not be a wedding next month."

Draco only rolled his eyes and stood up. By the way his mother was reprimanding him you wouldn't think him to be almost twenty-one. Of course, to his mother that didn't matter. She would always try to discipline and coddle him, and with the new baby her mothering instincts were going haywire. Just the other day she called him her little Dragon while going tux shopping. What made things worse was the fact that his fiancé, Astoria Greengrass, was right next to him. He was still not sure whether the giggle fit was because of the name or because of the deep red his face turned. Now Astoria also called him her 'little Dragon' whenever she wanted something.

"Mother, why are you so upset?"

"Your father is such an arse."

"Excuse me?" The topic of discussion flew into the room, his hair slightly messy and a heavy smell of smoke emanating from his clothing.

"You heard me Lucius Malfoy. You are an arrogant bastard!"

"Me? You are the one bitching around."

"Oh no. You are the one accusing me of things that are not true. How dare you."

By this time Draco had retracted to a corner, watching the show with a confused scowl upon his face.

"Not true? Not true!" Lucius gasped, "It is entirely your fault. And now you are telling me that I am the one to blame."

"Stop denying it! You know you are the one who..."

" Now listen here missy..."

"Missy? Who is your missy? Don't you turn the finger around now. You know you are the one at fault here."

" I am not!"

"What on earth is going on?" Draco couldn't take it anymore. The bickering between his parents was getting ridiculous.

"Your mother was supposed to be making dinner and she let it burn." Lucius was the first to answer.

"I did not! I asked you to look after it while I went to breastfeed the baby. How was I supposed to watch it?"

"Stop saying you asked me! You did not."

"Yes I did!"

This time Draco stepped in again with his hand up. "Are you telling me this whole fight is about who left the stove on?"

For the first time in a long time Draco saw both his parents looking rather sheepishly as they realised how silly it was. They nodded demurely. The next moment Draco burst out in laughter. "You are incredible." When they still looked to the floor he gestured between them. "Well go on. Kiss and make up."

At first both were too stubborn to make the first move. Then a small smile graced Narcissa's face and she turned into Lucius' outstretched arms. "Sorry Love." They murmured at the same time.

A wail from the nursery broke the picture of the happy family and the lovers broke free of each other's arms, "Now look. Your yelling woke her up." Narcissa was the first to speak as she started making her way to the door.

"My yelling? You were the one who went off like a bitch in heat." Lucius was following behind, not planning on forfeiting this time.

"I beg your pardon? I wasn't the one who..." Their voices trailed off as they went to check on their baby daughter.

Draco was left laughing and shaking his head. You wouldn't expect too forty-somethings to be bickering like a pair of children. But they fought about trivial things, which meant that all the big problems was gone... Which meant that all was well.
