This is a story that just came to mind one day while I was watching Star Trek Enterprise. I'm thinking this is just gonna be a single chapter story, but if people think it's good I'll continue.

The Doctor was one again enjoying himself. He was sitting inside his TARDIS with not so much as another soul inside. He was just sitting on a railing trying to decide what to do next. "Maybe, I could watch the destruction of the Spanish armada." he said to himself. "Nah, maybe later. The end of the world perhaps? No, not yet. Hmm. Oh, that is a fantastic idea." He set the date to 2500 A.D. (Earth Years). He was going to see the launch of the first earth inter-stellar public space craft. He would jump ahead a few years, get the date, and watch it for himself.

He activated the TARDIS. The next thing he knew, he was flying through time and space, as a whole. The blue police box slowed to a hum, then went dead. He went to the doors and walked out onto the sidewalk. The sun was a shade darker, but that was due to the passing of time. He was nearly two-thousand years ahead of where he was previously. He had watched at the Romans overtook Egypt in the Siege of Giza. He didn't pay much notice to the elder star.

He walked down the sidewalk to a community map. "Finally, a break from fighting, killing, and gob-smacking wars." he uttered to himself. A woman nearby looked at him and smiled. He smiled back. "Now to find a Library." He thought aloud. "Ah, two streets over. No, wait." he muttered. "That's a restaurant. Three streets over, then."

He went to the futuristic library, then returned to the TARDIS. with the date to travel to. "Alright," he said "Let's go." He pushed countless buttons, switched countless gadgets, and the blue box began it's characteristic 'whrrring' to actvate the time vortex. "Ah" he said as he read the pamphlet. "This is going to be fantastic." He suddenly heard a noise behind him. The Doctor froze then said "TARDIS, How many life forms on board?" "One, Timelord" it said. He turned around. "Then analyze that sound." The TARDIS then said, much to the shock of the Doctor, "Unknown."

"What?" he said "Your the best computer in the universe, how can you not know what that sound was?" "Incomprehensible." retorted the ship. He pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver and walked over to the place he heard the sound. "Who's there?" He said. "Anybody?" When no one responded, he shrugged sat back on the rail, and began reading the pamphlet.

He jumped as a voice said, "What would you have done with that? It's a Sonic Screwdriver." The doctor jumped up and turned around. There facing him was a human, onboard his TARDIS, and was not detected. The Doctor smiled and said, "Well your a human at least, there are many more races out there that would want to steal this ship."The man smiled back and said, "Good to see a friendly face at last." "Agreed, but who are you?" asked The Doctor, "You don't register under the TARDIS data stream." "You can call me Daniels." answered the stranger.
