Slight Yelina/Raymond and Yelina/Horatio…
Don't own them… Sadly enough.
Yelina picked up the last book she brought with her from Brazil and started to place it on the shelf. A piece of paper fell out and onto the floor. She bent down and picked it up, opening to the familiar handwriting Raymond Caine, Sr.
Yelina,
Well, if you are reading this I am more than likely dead. Really dead this time. I feel bad. Horatio gave us a second chance and I am screwing it up again. I probably have if your reading this… Which I guess you are since you reading it now… Anyway, I just want to apologize.
I have the utmost confidence that if I am dead that you will be in good hands. I am sure Horatio will take care of you and Ray if anything happened to me. He cares a lot about you two.
I can tell he cares a lot about you. I saw how he was looking at you when we were at the plane. You care about him a lot, too. I could tell by the way you looked at him and hugged him. I dare say, you two even love each other. Funny thought really, my wife being in love with my older brother… okay, so it's not really funny, but it is true. I deserve it though. Really, I do. I disappeared from your life and Horatio stepped in. He stepped in as someone for you to lean on and someone for Ray to look up to.
Hum, now that I thought about it for a second, you might even been in love with each other when I was known to be alive. But, Horatio is my big brother and he wouldn't do anything like that. Then even after I was thought to be dead, he wouldn't do anything. That's how he is.
I have now screwed this up twice, Yelina. I want you to be happy. So, just so you know, if my brother is who makes you happy, then be happy. I do love you, no matter what I have done, I do love you. So, just be happy.
Raymond Caine
Yelina stood up from where she was sitting on the floor and wiped the tears from her eyes, "I still love you, too, Raymond."
With that, she stood up and walked over to her phone and dialed the familiar number, "Hey Horatio. Yeah, fine. Just finishing some unpacking I still haven't done and I found this note from Raymond. Okay, see you."
What you think?
