So it's been a while since I've had a FanFic account. Anyway… This is a rewritten version of an old story. Anyway it's rated M because, well, the Hot Springs Spa isn't exactly a "normal" spa. Sorry the first chapter is really short… beginnings are always the shortest and least interesting part. Have to establish characters and stuff.

Toph rolled out of bed early in the morning. The sun was barley up and birds were chirping happily. The blind girl slowly stood up and attempted to sense her surroundings through her feet. She could visualize the room around her… but it was fuzzier than normal. Toph walked around a bit to make sure things were okay with her feet. After a while, she realized the fuzziness wasn't going away. She stumbled around until she found her door, and then went out to find one of her friends to help her. She walked clumsily to what she thought was Katara's room. Toph knocked on the door nervously.

"K-Katara? Are you up?" Toph weakly whispered. The door swung open and Katara was standing there fully dressed in a white tunic. Katara's hair was neatly kept in a long ponytail, which differed from her normal hair.

"Good morning, Toph! What are you doing up so early?" Katara said cheerfully.

"I'm having trouble seeing." Toph responded holding onto Katara's arm to steady herself.

"Um… Toph… You're blind. You know that right?" Katara said in a confused tone.

"No! Not like that! I mean I'm not feeling the vibrations right. Could you look at my feet? Because you are a healer and stuff." Toph snapped back at Katara for not understanding her meaning.

"Yeah sure, Toph. I have to leave for work soon though." Katara said guiding Toph into her room. Katara laid Toph down onto her bed and took a look at her feet. "I think I see your problem." Katara bended some water out of her pouch and put it over Toph's feet. As the water washed over Toph's feet, layers of mud, tar, and spirits know what came off. "Toph! This is disgusting! You're coming to work with me today!"

"Wait... Why would I come to work with you?" Toph questioned lying back in Katara's bed. She curled up and started to drift back to sleep.

"Because you need a spa day!" Katara said gleefully! She dragged Toph out of her bed and pulled her across the floor to the door.

Katara dragged a stubborn Toph all the way outside before Toph broke free. "What's wrong with you Sugar Queen! I hate doing girly things and you know it!"

"I know you like pretending to hate doing girly things." Katara sneered back at Toph.

"You don't know anything do you?" Toph sighed. "Just take me and get it over with."

"Finally!" Katara giggled as she half guided and half dragged Toph to the spa at which she worked.
