Dear Journal -
My name is Ebony Hopkins and I was born with wings.
I attend Hogwarts, this is my first year, I begin classes tomorrow, and I'm super nervous about it. I've already bought all of my supplies (ten books in total, so heavy) and can't wait to attend!
When my letter came in the mail two months ago, I felt as if my parents did a huge sigh of relief. Finally, something good was going to come my way. Having a daughter with wings is a bit of a hassle, apparently. I don't know why they think that. I'm just like every other girl. Except I can fly whenever I choose to do so.
I've been homeschooled my entire life, and haven't made any real friends. I feel that my parents are hiding me from the world. Why should they though? There are giants, and thestrals, and giant spiders in this wizarding world. I like to read the Daily Wizard's Newspaper when my dad is done with it. There are so many things out there, why should a girl with wings be any more frightening?
Another reason I'm excited about going to Hogwarts is because of it's history. They just finished restoring the building from the great war, and Harry Potter is becoming an Authority! I can't wait to see all the great people there.
