AN: So I love books and the heart and soul of all that is literature. My guy isn't much of a reader and he's not a big fan of literature. In an attempt to bring our two worlds together I began to write a story with small bits and pieces of us in the main characters. I handed him the journal book that I began writing it in and had him read the first few paragraphs. When he gave it back to me he had continued the story. We've been passing it back and forth continuing where the other left off. I'm adapting our book into a Dasey. The parts he wrote are in bold and mine are in normal print. I hope you all enjoy. Please read and review.

THE BOOK OF DAYS

By Viantte Caldwell (pseudonym)

The dying flames cast their soft shadows across the timber floor. The wood splintered, sending burning embers flickering into the darkness of the chimney and it's fireplace. Outside the frost covered windows, the deep blue lake and the snow spotted green pines, marked the end to the Canadian summer months. The moon had begun to fade in the early dawn of the morning. Within the small house by the lake, dwelt two lives and one heart. One world, the world they shared...

She smiled at the feel of his torso humming against her back. She reluctantly opened her eyes. The fire lit earlier that night lingered in delicate flames. His arms were still wrapped around her, their fingers had remained intertwined. The tune became more distinguishable. Smiling to herself she slipped her fingers out from within his… she could already feel his knowing smirk in the air. Turning around to face him she placed her gentle touch on his strong chest. He pressed his lips against her forehead and pulled her closer to him. "I wish I was the metal break that you depended on." The tender deep voice faded and became hums lulling her to sleep. Almost inaudibly she murmured. "I said I love you and I'll never stop, never, whatever…" Her breathing was slow, steady, soothing. His heart caught in his throat as his eyes fell upon his sleeping beauty. He grazed his fingers through her soft auburn hair. "Everywhere I will be with you and everything I will do for you." She lifted her heavy eyelids and smiled up at him, "Always Forever?"

How could he resist? He nodded and touched his lips against hers chastely kissing them. She burrowed into his arms and a muffled Yum came from the bundle in his arms. He let out a small silent laugh and closed his eyes knowing that even his dreams could not improve his real world. His cheek slid aside her glistening, velvety, delicate hair as he slowly moved his mouth toward her ear, caressing the sensitive skin between her neck and shoulder, before echoing in her ear, "Always and forever." His voice promised and assured the angel he held in his arms of his devotion to their everlasting union as one. He held her passionately against him warming her more than the flames themselves. No words were needed, for she understood that no other act of affection stating so clearly that he never wanted to let her go.

It wasn't long before drowsiness and undisturbed peace conquered their bodies, putting them in a state of being where everything was possible. Where you could be anyone. A place where neither limits nor rules nor worries nor problems existed. They were, well, "mimis" … A word only both of them knew meaning to. And there, next to the fire, warm while it snowed, cuddled with the person that meant the world to them, they dreamt of each other as they quietly slept.

AN: I know it was short, but consider that It was just the intro and well he's a shy guy...
