The Day the Sun Died
The ache wouldn't go away. No matter how many bottles of Absinthe he consumed it was always there, residing within his soul as a reminder of all that had happened. To her. To him. To them. It had been an impossible love from the beginning, they had known this. So why then had it worked? Why had it been so wonderful? Why did he allow himself to be so blindly led to her? He should have known. If he had truly loved her he would have known. Had it truly been love then? It had to be. He had never felt like that before. The world was brighter when she was with him, even when she was in his thoughts. And now, she had been torn away from him forever. Making the world dark and cold. The sun must have died with her; for he never saw it's light nor felt it's soft warmth anymore. All the words he had hurt her with. How could he have been so callous? Had she known that he loved her more than life itself? Had she heard the wild cry that had been torn from his soul she passed away in his arms? He had tried to get her back. But she didn't come back. She never would. And the sun was gone from his world forever.
