The boy had managed to escape what seemed inevitable doom. He didn't go far, though. Gohan hid behind the remains of a building, and stared at the almost near end...
Vegeta was struggling against the deadly android. He was the only warrior left, besides Gohan. But his life was leaving him slowly... now he knew the inevitable was coming. The fatal femme managed to land a kick on his debilitating body. He fell into the ground. He was lying there, inmobile, staring at a reddish sky, and was in a constant battle against life and death. For the first time, Vegeta was scared, truly scared. Scared that he would never see her again...
Bulma... the thought of her gave him the courage to go on. Maybe it was her dazzling smile, or how she made him feel so special. He had secretly admired her intense beauty and now he had a son...
He felt a lump in his throat and a pain in his chest, caused by a heartbreak. The time had come to say goodbye...

She felt a strong premonition cross her mind. She had a heavy feeling of desesperation and sorrow. Her heart trembled, as if warning her of the way her life was going to change drastically...

The last few seconds in Vegeta's life seemed like years. Lying on the ground, he saw the blue-eyed android heading towards him.

Bulma felt her heart being sliced in a million pieces.
Gohan looked from his hiding place. He wanted to stop everything, but he was too hurt. He had never seen Vegeta fight with so much honor.
Vegeta tried to hold back the sobs invading him. Now, he had only regrets. If he could only go back in time, and tell her how he would give her the universe if he could, or tell her how she was the biggest, most valuable thing in his life...

She tried to stop the flow of tears. Vegeta...
Gohan gasped in terror. No... NO!
His son... now he would never see him grow up, a part oh himself grow up, and tell him to learn from his mistakes...
Now he couldn't caress her soft face, or get lost in her touch, or foreget his loneliness in her eyes.
* Forgive me... *
The nasty android prepared a ki blast, and launched it at him. He felt his soul fly away...
* I love you... *
She closed her eyes tight. "Don't... don't leave me..." Bulma whispered. "DON"T LEAVE ME! ... "
In a crib beside her, layed her son. She looked at him, sleeping so soundly. She took the baby in her arms. Trunks... a reminder of their love...
The android smirked. She looked at her brother and left.
Gohan cried. If he could've done something! No. Those androids are not going to get away with this. Gohan looked at the sky. He remembered Vegeta, and how honorably he fought. The young boy stood up bravely. Between his tears, he smiled. "Don't worry, Vegeta... I'll tell Trunks someday..."
